You used to be able to remove yourself regardless of your position. At some point that bug popped up (I'm guessing the verifier update).
It definitely should be fixed.
It may be because of different versions which has caused a lot of trouble for me when making autosplitters. We can talk through Discord or so.
You can always speedrun the demo without any kind of leaderboard. If you think there needs to be a leaderboard for the demo levels, you're missing the point of speedrunning entirely. It's also going to be obsoleted in two weeks. It's just not notable enough to add. The current moderators for this game have been speedrunning and helping moderate, especially Kirby games, for a very long time and know exactly what they're doing. It's not a 'diss' to those running the demo, it's a matter of fostering a community properly.
I think what you're looking for are people who are interested in running the game and will admit this site doesn't do a very good job of doing that right now.
Ooooh, very nice, I'll have to try that out myself. I dislike the expanded health strat and this should be so much better.

If a runner's encoding is competent, you can time a run from the video alone. An on-screen timer is not necessary in that case, just preferred.
