Really weird post, and in the wrong forum.
There are plenty of similar threads. You can start by looking at all the web games on the site: https://www.speedrun.com/games#platform=Web&orderby=mostactive&unofficial=on
You can also tell your preferences of game types to get better recommendations, "free games" is too broad.
For me, Google Chrome and FireFox on Windows 10 gave that warning screen, Microsoft Edge and Pale Moon did not.
I don't know if the forums are the right place for this or not.
Following the strange URL issue in https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/pdl4j , I used the API to find all games that have "http" or "www" as part of their abbreviation.
The results are here, 40 games: https://pastebin.com/0rut1Wus
I made a TAS run for this game here:
There are two main mechanics in play here:
-
Rapid movement in topdown mode - when moving in one direction, you can go one tile per 2 frames, or 15 tiles per second (game is in 30fps). This make top-down mode movement much more faster than platform mode movement. In RTA runs, platform mode is preferable because it is faster than a human movement in top-down mode.
-
Ground storage glitch - You can only jump if you are in platform mode and on the ground. You can carry the "ground" state if you stand on the ground in platform mode, and transform into top-down mode. When you transform back to platform mode, you have exactly one frame when your character is in platform mode and also stand on the ground (stored from earlier). In that exact frame you can jump in the air.
This trick can be done RTA, but takes some practice because you need to press the transform and jump keys at 2 consecutive frames for it to work.
Due to how this can drastically change some of the levels, I'm splitting the game into "glitched" and "glitchless" categories, where the ground storage glitch is allowed or banned respectively.
That's how forums work. If you want a private conversation, the site have a direct message feature. Go to any user profile, and then "Send Message".
You can also contact users/moderators with their social-media links, if they have them.
(By the way, site suggestions should go here: https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/g79jt )
The rules, as they currently stand, state that PvP related activities and games will not be accepted. How more clear can it be?
The reasons might not be clear, true, but I don't think that a site-rules page is the right place to list all the reasons and processes that led to those rules.
