Hey guys. So I accidentally found a new prison escape for Leon runs. This should save around 1-2 seconds for NG, ~3 seconds for Knife Only, and ~10 seconds for Pistol Only. I explain how to get the line properly to do this strat in the video and explaining the time differences between the categories as well. I have this strat down at about 70% consistent. Just need to get better with the specific line to take. Our runs just got more toxic. EDIT: Forgot to post the VIDEO

So why was the Knife Only category called Low%? I understand the name came from the use of the pistol for the Nemesis 4 fight, but in RE7 where you have to use the pistol to kill Evie, the category was still called "Knife Only". Now I understand the situation there is different to this game since the pistol isn't required to kill Nemmy 4, but here are other examples. In RE1 Remake, the launcher is required to finish the run, yet the category is called "Knife Only (Low%)". Same goes for RE2 Remake: "Knife Only (Low%)". Now I brought this up for RE2 Remake as well since it was called Low% when the Low% leaderboards opened. After bringing it up and explaining my reasoning, it was changed to Knife Only (Low%). The reason why I'm recommending this AGAIN is because when this happened in RE2R, it was killing the category (including the fact that Knife only in RE2R was on the dead "category extensions" boards but oh well). No one knew where the boards were for knife only, they didn't know what Low% was and how it was connected to knife only. Now that RE3R is announcing Low% as knife only again, it's starting all over again. Constant questions being asked: "What is Low%?", "Why is it called Low%?", "I don't see knife only in the leaderboards?" and so on. It only makes sense to call it "Knife Only" or "Knife Only (Low%)". Knife Only in RE games has been a special run since it was first introduced. No need to kill it for the second game in a row.

"Play through both 1st and 2nd scenarios of the characters in a single segment."

So does this allow to complete the first run, then you're able to start the second run, but then you reset the second run, complete it and that still counts as single segment? I would assume that would be a failed attempt, thus you would have to run the first story again.

So I've been trying to figure out the best controller scheme for running this game for myself. Obviously selecting the "Arrange" option is key to avoid being grabbed by zombies. The problem I have with that option is that when the camera angle changes, when I try moving my analog stick to the proper direction, it spins me to some random direction I don't want to go to which is very annoying. So my question is, is there a specific controller scheme to select to fix that, or it's just something I need to get used to, to the specific analog stick movement with the camera angles?

I'm new to the RE4 speedrun community and I noticed that when you are submitting a run, it asks to submit a specific time with loads and no loads. I don't understand the terminology of "loads" and "no loads" completely. Can someone help me out here? Thanks!

I recently checked the time differences between the scenes in Not A Hero where Chris gets the mask after Lucas kills his partner. In the Japanese (I assume) version of the game, it is about 8-9 seconds faster than the US version, thus the "in-game timer" is much shorter for the Japanese version vs. the American version. Are we taking this time into consideration, or does the Japanese version have the upper hand in the Not A Hero speedrun?

I have seen runs where the runner has used the retry button. How does that have an impact on the in game timer?
