I would prefer you get all the audio to be captured. I can in theory accept the separate audio out of the sound bar, but it will increase the level of scrutiny.

I agree its good to do, but I dont agree that it should be required. When we talked about it in the past we agreed reset was fine. It doesnt help us against cheating in any way, and adds time for no reason to be fair. Even I start my runs from Reset because its easier and its the same moderation if the reset press is shown and they start timer from pressing it. @DBcade

@DBcade We have previously spoken on using the retry button and it is no different then loading in to the stage via completing your team, the rules dont require showing you advance into the game mode, so it doesnt give us any additional info that isnt already present in game.

He cant splice a Handcam, and a modified cartridge would be needed to load a modified rom or he would visually need to enter the 3DS memory management tool, but its also a DS game so that wouldnt even work. Finally anything he would hack would be immediately noticed when I see gameplay that is impossible. Showing character team and clicking confirm doesnt add any data we dont already see when he is in the mission after showing him clicking retry.

It was no accident, I allowed them after confirming they are in no way cheated. I agree for proofing it is better to reselect your characters. But I dont personally see it as a requirement but rather a nice thing to do for moderation. If your runs were suspect in any other way then I would reject them under that premise.

I know of the things you specified in the above post as well. The nature of showing settings and character select is to reduce the chance of cheating but I dont personally think that it does anything of note to show these things. If someone wanted to cheat they would just deal more damage or affect support cooldowns, which I can see in the recording itself.

This run is a little suspect but its all good. In the future try not to forget to show the settings and hopefully no crashes ect. Saving especially on PSP is super worth it for safety. Best of luck in your future runs.

^ This is all true, but yeah if you lag on 1.6.0 then go ahead and use further versions, if not use 1.6.0 for some time buffs from loads and speedhack settings. No harm no foul.

California, USANighlin1 year ago

Not sure you will feel much to it at all in this game, but yeah it is something to note. Not sure if there is much to any lag difference but newer versions will run better on worse machines of course.

Good Job, Great bosses in particular, tough on losing your way a few time and getting spotted in the stealth mission. You could have used a bit more backstep guard cancels for movement in some places as well. On first Dad fight you could also have equipped Dai with his earlier Super to kill because lightning damage resist, but i'm sure you know since you swapped to it on the next fight. Keep going and best of luck!

I have put them in place. They are as follows for now.

  • On NG we have a few additional restrictions to prevent over leveling and or grinding weapons.
  • Level is Capped at 10 * Chapter Number except on Chapter 1 in which you must use a fresh save file.
  • Weapons must be obtainable in the difficulty you are currently running from the Chapter previous to the Chapter you are running. (Unless DLC)
  • You must not have entered "Citadel Mode" at any point.
  • Please show your Character Stats Screen for proofing at the start of your run.

Yeah please do that and give me the video so we can loosely see your Levels and I can set the caps at loosely +3 or so whatever you get.

If we do Individual Chapter NG my thought on how it could work are as follows:

  • Designate a Character Level Cap that varies based on which Chapter.
  • Can only use weapons obtainable in the chapter previous to the one you are running in the same difficulty that you will be running on. (Unless using DLC)
  • Must not have accessed the "Citadel Mode"

  1. A "No DLC" and "DLC" Variable will be added.
  2. This should likely be reformatted. It was put in place by the previous mod (They didn't have NG). Either it will be added as a category and only be NG+, or we can get together and establish conditions in which a save can be used.

Thanks for the questions, I will be reformatting the board layout today to fix a bunch of issues. If you have additional suggestions ect please let me know.

Its likely that this time beat his but IGT in this game is massively unreliable and can pause due to a lot of different factors. An example of this is the way it rounds through truncating the value allows you to save over a second of IGT per fight by ending fights with High decimal time values so an example is I get a 5.99 COUNT fight and the game records the fight as 5. It also pauses from certain supers and pauses more or less from certain types of death freezes.

I think you need to clarify further because Secret History already has its own category. Although generally to do it in NG you would have to complete all unlock conditions as part of a fresh save. But NG+ Secret History is already a category. Are you perhaps wanting a category for Nobunaga + Secret History or something?

You may perhaps be referring to "Objectives" those arent required as part of the speedrun. 100% refers to completing both paths top and bottom not the objectives. As long as the mission doesnt outright fail the entire mission you are fine to progress.

For now I have added this clarification to the rules as well as changed 100% to be called All Missions to reduce confusion.

No problems. Feel free to run it and as long as your screen isnt obscured or sound issues then you will likely be fine.
