Yeah it takes very little getting used to except the water level as you mention. That can still mess me up! Hope you can make it work! I'll be looking forward to it :)
Hello all runners.
Since this game is slowly picking up interest from a few more players recently I will no longer look past minor fractions from the rules. Please follow them exactly as they are from now on:
- Timer starts when you select a character and press start the 2nd time.
- Time ends when passing the finish line of the last stage's lap.
- Include a reset before your run in the submission video. (This means you will have to reset your console/emulator before starting a new run).
- Finish tournament in 1st place.
Emulator:
- Input-display must show when available.
- Run-Ahead feature is banned.
- Save/load states are not allowed at any point.
- Include name and version.
Thank you all and keep up the good work on this fantastic little racing game!

I would say it would not be accepted. Please include the ~20 second intro scene and enjoy the awesome music. The amount of time you would use switching cables would almost be the same as just resetting.
I added the SMD version to the site as a stand-alone game since it's very different from the NES game. Stages are similar but feels longer(?) and SMD version also has an extra Moon level after the foot fight.

06/20/20 Rules have been updated. Please read before submitting a run. Categories have been updated to fit all versions on different consoles.
I've been added as a mod and have re-worked the game settings to include the different versions. Found out there was a Saturn version too though it looks almost the same as the PS1. They don't seem to run at the same speed, but I don't know for sure since I have not played them myself.
Hi Sonikkustar! I see the difference. I didn't know since I've only ever played the SNES version. There is also a PS1 version which is completely different as well.
There seem to be no mods for this game anymore. I have requested to be made a mod and I will make them seperate categories if site staff accept my request.
I just noticed there are no mods left on Street Racer. I am a runner of this game and would like to mod it as well.
Interesting. Since I know the US version 100% I can try and go through the famicom version for you and upload the video.
I played it for a bit and I noticed it feels slower than NTSC...? There's definitely something "wrong" with the controls. Didn't feel right at all. Haven't played enough to notice major differences.
What is the reason of blending all the systems in the same category? These games are not even close to being the the same. They only share name. There should be a category for each system at least!
These could be very fun challenges to do, but I agree with Toad at this point. I might be looking into this and challenge myself personally. Very good suggestions though!
