Well it involves a very fast and accurate bhopping so it's not that hard to get but getting it on the first try in a run will definitely be pretty rare, I'll give it a recording so I can show you.
Yeah i just noticed that. Also, turn it off for Puzzle and then back on for Stairs. In puzzle, instead of pressing enter to remove the walls and then have a bunch of talking, it waits a few seconds then goes straight for the next level and you need it on for stairs otherwise you can't press enter to go faster
EDIT: I also found a way to skip a part of Down. If you're interested i can record it and post it here. It saves about 30 seconds if done on the first try (which is not easy, mind you)
Hey, I'm probably going to time the dialogues in the near future and figure out which are the fastest. If anyone knows some (or all) of them already, it'd be nice to know. Otherwise, I'll update this thread as I find them.
Edit:
Most of the dialogue choices don't actually make any difference. Here are the few exceptions I found. If anyone finds out I missed something, let me know.
Chapter 7: The second dialogue option you get choose is faster if you pick 1 or 2 rather than 3
Chapter 13: It is possible to choose the wrong dialogue option, but all the right ones are just as fast. Pressing 2 works for all of the choices in this chapter.
Chapter 14: Once you reach the puzzle door, the right options are 1-2-1-3
As far as I know, the rest of the dialogues are entirely up to you.
I agree. It's always good to be able to provide additionnal information, I feel like sometimes it could make the difference between a rejected and an accepted request.
another possibility would be to make a livesplit IGT auto-splitter, so we wouldnt have to rely on the in-game's IGT timer at all
Alright thanks for the replies, I'll stick to that unless a mod says otherwise
Is it okay to request games that have been anounced but haven't yet released? Or will they be instantly rejected by mods?
Mmmm i don't really have time right now but i think ill test a few places with the d-horse clip, it might be interesting to look into that
I'm curious to see if anyone has found any glitch/skip or whatnot that might be useful for speedrunning the game eventually, and if so can it be reproduced or was it recorded?
Agreed. You won't see much difference between hard and easy unless you're running the game glitchless
