Hey, I just wanted to follow up on this. Any update on when this could be put in the rules as approved?

I see that this is now available as a PC port from GOG, any idea if/when the category would be available?

So I tried the screen resolution again, the reason why it doesn't work likely has to do with my monitor (240 Hz high dollar display running through a display port).

When I change the resolution to something like 800x600 for example it makes the screen small within the display (instead of zoomed in) so the game window is effectively the same size. The only time it zooms is if I go full screen (F8) with the game but that's when the inventory lag occurs.

I'm testing it out now with it on my second monitor instead (which might work, so far the testing seems to work) which is lower end and running through HDMI.

I'd really like to know if the rebirth patch will ever be considered, I know for RE1 it's basically standard and even the recommended way to run the PC port. I'm guessing RE2 being still in "development" of sorts is the delay here but if there is some way to get that approved long term, that'll make a lot of our lives a lot easier I'm sure.

@Tanky I've tried the resolution change, didn't really work out too well on my end for some reason. I'll try it again once I'm more in a serious run mood. Right now I'm still in that practice/learning phase for the Leon A run. I don't really start "running" until I feel like I've fine tuned specific aspects (namely the route, boss fights, etc.).

Boo.. Ok. I guess I'll have to play the game in windowed mode (squinting at it) when I decide to submit runs then to get around the inventory lag problem (that problem is fixed by the rebirth patch which is why I asked).

I personally use the straight of running straight towards the web/door. Auto aiming back towards Black Tiger and aiming up and doing fire-pause/cancel-fire-pause/cancel. Even though you're aiming away from the door, by aiming the launcher up it ends up hitting the webbing, at that point it's just a matter of dodging the poison shot and going through the door.

Yeah, I did that last night a bit and my monitor didn't react to it well at all. In the interim I can live with running it in the smaller window for now.

I posted about the rebirth patch in a separate thread though, that has the fix for this inventory lag issue as well as just generally a better look/feel (see rebirth for RE1 which is approved for those runs).

I'm trying to get a confirmation that it's approved for RE2 (right now it has a sound bug so I wouldn't be using it right now, but in the future, maybe).

So the verdict: It's an issue only if you run the game in full screen. If you F8 back to the smaller window mode the inventory works normally.

I tried every suggestion in this thread and none of them worked if it was in full screen, the suggestions didn't matter if it was in windowed.

Correction: it has to do with being in full screen with scaling on (ie. scaling enabled through Nvidia Control Panel). I still can't find a way to play it in a window larger than the default and not have the inventory lag though, =/. Oh well.

I've started learning the run for this and noticed the same issue. I'm going to try some of the suggestions here tonight on stream and I'll report back if any of them work so that the next person who runs into this can have an idea of what specifically works versus what doesn't currently.
