Hey folks. I have been learning RE using my PS3 with a PSN download. There is no option to turn off the auto-aim, so I have been unable to perform the quick grenade-web strat without cumbersome aiming and turning. I saw a brief clip of someone using the knife, pause-cancelling, moving, and letting it's acid remove the web - is this my best option or am I missing something? Thanks.
I personally use the straight of running straight towards the web/door. Auto aiming back towards Black Tiger and aiming up and doing fire-pause/cancel-fire-pause/cancel. Even though you're aiming away from the door, by aiming the launcher up it ends up hitting the webbing, at that point it's just a matter of dodging the poison shot and going through the door.
I would recommend using the strat we use in the PC version. Check one of the top 3 runs to get a good look at how it is performed.
Also, I believe you can ignore the autoaim by holding L1 before pressing R1 to aim. This should cancel the autoaim. In this case (recommended) you can use the strat that players use for PS console and emulator runs which is different than the PC strat.
