I knew about the ties in MTPO glass joe and this is the only level, but titol had only a few ties, and I couldn't find the leaderboard for glass joe.

My advice is just go onto a game website and choose a game. If it's fun to play casually, try speedrunning it. It's that simple. I do that sometimes when I'm bored. Some good sites:

This is a bit of a random question but an interesting thought I had. There are a lot of categories which are both incredibly easy and incredibly optimized, leading to many people being able to tie the world record.

I think that the bugsnax devs said they wouldn't patch many of the skips in the game because they have to be done on purpose (they wouldn't happen on accident to a casual player), but fixed other glitches that could happen to a regular player by accident.

I think that game devs should just try to make a fun game casually, and not focus on the speedrunning aspect, outside of maybe adding a timer that the player can turn on. Adding complex features can overwhelm a casual gamer, or take away from a game's simplicity.

The html5 rules are very confusing and should be fixed

"Runs under 45s require video proof."

I'm pretty sure a 44 second time is impossible, so this should be changed, maybe times under 49 seconds?

"Timer must be visible on screen."

This should also be changed for flash rules. By timer, I assume that mods mean the in game clock thingy needs to be shown, probably as a barrier against splices or speeding up video. However, when I read this, I thought it meant I needed a timer, like livesplit or something. Both my run and @Poggies runs have no timer, so I assume I don't need one. This should be worded differently I think.

I don't really think I can say much that other people haven't already said, but I run a lot of obscure games, and have like 50 wrs on my profile, many of which are barely even contested. Someone could look at my profile and say something like "wow this guy has so many world records" and then look at someone else who runs really popular games at a mid level and say "that guy sucks at speedrunning", when nothing could be further from the truth. It could give casual viewers the wrong idea and gives no information about the runner themselves. It would only give toxic people reason to brag and fuel unhealthy competition.

Games like wikipedia, among us, and mkodok are very competitive, despite not having leaderboards here. I'm sure if you look, there are community run websites, guides, and leaderboards. Games don't need an "official" leaderboard to be worth running.

My follow and social glitch is fixed now, but I don't get notifs still.

Please give me any feedback / suggestions, like stuff I should change that I haven't already made plans to do, etc.
