They deleted spam posting so you cant just spam the post button 🙁
yeah timbos discovered that a while back
I think he got a 58 or something with it but run is gone because ban
@Kai. @DreamWasTaken is a dream smp member with an account. I think there are a couple others too
it was, they've all been banned.
All of them are fakes, and the same person owns each account
I searched the channel ID for ranboo speedruns and the first result was their channel, but instead of displaying "Ranboo Speedruns" It displayed "Nihachu Speedruns" My guess is all three are the same person. To make sure, I'm gonna join the google snake discord and see if I can find links to @Nihachu 's rejected runs, and if it links to Ranboo Speedruns then you have some explaining to do.
nothing yet, but @Ranboo hasn't logged in since he posted his last post, so he hasn't seen my tag yet
@Ranboo we're kind of suspicious because the Nihachu account turned out to be a troll, so is there any way you can confirm your identity, maybe by DMing one of us on twitter/twitch/discord?
I think that she as banned for impersonating someone, but maybe it is the real one. They self promoted, bragged about their follower count, and claimed to have a world record in google snake without evidence. They also have 5 runs on their profile, so maybe they cheated.
Edit: turns out that it was a troll. Now I'm suspicious of the Ranboo and Awesamdude accounts
Just so you know, self-promotion is against the site rules.
@dha what happened is that if the stream is shown, the front page only shows 10 runs. Since you submitted 10 runs, it shows all of yours. Turn off your stream and it works fine (except it only shows 25 runs, and changing the settings does nothing, its been that way since the update).
It took 3 months for anyone to beat Couriway.
It took 1 month for anyone to beat Reignex
It took 1 week for anyone to beat Zylenox
It took 1 day for anyone to beat Illumina
It took 1 day for anyone to beat TLN
It took 3 weeks for anyone to beat TLN (again)
It took 4 days for anyone to beat fe666
My guess is someone will get sub 10 by Wednesday.
Depends on the game. I moderate a relatively active game, and there are a few general rules of thumb for moderators.
They usually need to be longtime members of the community, they need to be very trustworthy, and knowledgeable about the game. They should be active runners with a decent time, and be helpful and active in the game's discord or forums. If you think you meet all of the requirements, DM one of the supermods for that game, and if you are qualified they will add you. Most games have specific requirements other than these, so make sure you are familiar with what is necessary.
There are also rules on the site for who can and can't be a mod. Mods should be at least 16 years old, have at least two socials where they can be directly contacted, be active on the site, have an account that is at least a month old, have a pending/verified run in the game, and represent their community. You can read the full moderation rules here: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/moderation-rules
Also keep in mind that moderation isn't a fun thing, or a title or a rank. It's a volunteer job, and it can take a lot of time and effort, so don't sign up for it if you don't know what you're getting into. Some people who moderate a lot of games or very popular games can have over 400 pending runs at a time, (although it's pretty extreme, I usually never have more than 10).
