I play the Xbox 360 version via backwards compatibility on Xbox One. Would this be acceptable for submissions?
Just wondering if this would be a possibility. :)
I know I'm the only one running this, but I went ahead and created a Discord in case anyone else is interested.
It really is a surprisingly decent golf game.
I've never used a 3DS emulator before, but I'm digging running golf games recently and would be interested in checking this game out if I can submit emulated runs. If so, is there a suggested one?
I understand if not, thanks!
I noticed that Kitsun3's recent safari run, the timer starts on "GO!" instead of at transmission select as the rules say. I'm just wondering if that's the standard now or if I should be following the transmission select rule.
Not trying to call Kitsun3 out, I just want to time properly :) Thanks!
Timing is supposed to start when you click 'play', in CerealGaming's run the timer starts well after that. :)
Still, glad to see someone else running this strange little game!
I noticed you're (RobotDefault) not playing on an english version, but in the english version it's beginner/normal/pro :) just to clear up any potential confusion.
Thanks for putting this game up, it's a pretty fun little game.
So those with not great PCs are definitely at a disadvantage on this one, try to tune down the settings as much as you can to remain competitive.
Of course have fun and just enjoy improving your own time anyway, but don't get frustrated if you can't catch the top time. :)
I don't know why they were set up in the same category as they aren't the same at all. I will try to examine the mobile version and make IL (individual level) leaderboards for them if it becomes necessary, but for now IL is pc/web only.
This is why the boards are out of order, some runs only had one or the other, and for some reason that confuses the boards into putting lower times as higher ranks. So just fill in both times.
I edited the rules to reflect this change, and I fixed the existing run times. If I missed any errors let me know. :)
Obviously this isn't a hot game to run, but just wondering as it seems to be in the wrong category.
Thanks :) I know it's kind of a joke category but it still was a little frustrating to be so far behind the time in my attempts
@ Loliu Could you please make a clarification as to when you started the timer, etc? I feel future submissions would be well served to start from the menu and have a visible timer :) I think that the timer should start when you hit "retry" after failing (the original start of a new game takes longer to start)
I suck at the game right now but I like it a lot and am considering giving you some competition :)
edit: Also, is the no% category even possible? It seems to give 1 point almost right away regardless of what you do.
I can't reply since it's locked ;)
I grew up with Pole Position II (7800) as one of my favorite, most-played games, and might have some interest in running it now. Wondering how to proceed, since the 7800 version doesn't seem to be the same as arcade. thanks :)
Just wondering, you other folks running the game- what are your load times like when hitting 'new game'? I timed a couple, one was just over a minute and the other was 47 seconds. I'm not sure if the load times get longer when you have the program open longer or what, but it sure does make resetting for runs frustrating (this is the only reason I haven't cleared through to a better time yet lol).
I've talked with the devs, and lastly I asked them if it would be possible to add a 'restart' option from the in-game menu to at least save SOME loading time. I'm waiting to hear back on that one =)
