Hello, I've been looking at the leaderboards lately, and I've got a category request/suggestion.

Arcade Any%: The games included would be the following arcade games: Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Donkey Kong 3, Mario Bros. and VS Super Mario Bros. Playing on nes, vc and emu is allowed, as long as the ports you are using are accurate. Here is how long you would be playing the games for:

Donkey Kong: 1 loop (https://www.speedrun.com/Donkey_Kong)

Donkey Kong Jr: 1 game (https://www.speedrun.com/dkjr)

Donkey Kong 3: Any% Game A (https://www.speedrun.com/Donkey_Kong_3)

Mario Bros.: 8 Phases (https://www.speedrun.com/mario_bros_nes#8_Phases)

Vs. Super Mario Bros.: Any% (https://www.speedrun.com/vs_super_mario_bros)

In my opinion this would be a very fun category. Thanks! :)

Try to find a more accurate emulator. Like bizhawk or fceux. The emu you may be using could be doing something to the inputs that's slowing you down.

However you need to backwards jump into the first pixel of the block. You jump a pixel earlier you won't hit the block. You jump a pixel later, you won't get pushed back. It sounds easy but it will take quite a while to get consistent at.

Hi. I noticed that the platform(s) for this game is NESclassic. And I ask you mods if could possibly add NES to the list as well as I've been playing it using an everdrive lately? Thanks! :)

What glitch are you trying to tell us about?

New Hampshire, USAMars026 years ago

Yeah by either whispering to them on twitch or dming them on discord.

It doesn't? I thought you had to press left to clip into the pipe.

Getting the first pixel of the block isn't easy. You need to know where that first pixel is. If you miss, oh well. 4-4 clip is hard but most people are too inconsistent at getting the clip first try. It would just throw away runs. "who said u needed powerups? just roll with the mushroom" - The mushroom is a powerup, that doesn't make sense. 4-2 is when I talked about any%, if anyone wants to do any%. Which would be stupid ik. Overall I really wouldn't recommend it. But it's a great challenge!

So it's only possible to beat the game warpless then.

You can't beat the game without pressing left, here's why:

  1. 4-2 vine climb. You need to turn left to enter the warp zone. I know there's other warp zones but still you need to press left for those.

  2. 4-4. Like what @RoyLT said, 4-4 requires to press left. You can only get that clip once, if you fail you can't get it again.

  3. Picking up powerups. Most powerups aren't possible to collect without pressing left.

  4. 8-4 2nd room. This sums this whole post up but the only way to beat the game (as well as 8-4) is to walljump in room 2. If you miss, you can get again by purposely dying by the paratroopas, but it isn't likely to beat it anyway.

There you go.

Controller cam DansGame

This category seems pretty difficult. Also if I recall from the rules you need a video.

Emu is the slowest, so if you get a snes and a copy of the game (^) you should be equal with kosmic.

Hello, I've been looking to see if playing a us snes cartridge would work on a sfc. And I heard that if you took the gray cover off of the sfc, then us games would be able to fit (somehow). So here are some questions.

  1. Is it possible that if the gray cover of the sfc is taken off, then would it be possible to play snes games on it?

  2. If the answer is yes to #1, if I try to take the cover off (even though I've been struggling to), would I damage my console in any way?

  3. If the answer is no to #3 and I somehow do get the cover off AND a snes game is possible to play on sfc, then is it allowed to play smas+smw on sfc?

Thanks - @Mars02
