I haven't found any good use with it just yet, but I ran into a situation where I was able to rock clip in the floor and walk to the edgemost part of the level with full controls. I was able to kill myself on a rock, but since I went under the level spawn points weren't registered and I was brought back.
Thanks for sharing! A lot of glitches and exploits start from nothing before becoming something.
@Highspirits, along with @Holysmith I was working on routing/testing and more detailed notes but other obligations steered me away for now, but I do plan to come back to it. Still very experimental and things that aren't yet fully understood on my part.
Mostly figuring out what is efficient but also consistent for boses (trying to lock them in place) will be big time savers. I'll share a few videos/theorycraft below.

To be completely honest, there's just not a lot Retrogen related info out there speedrun wise. I'm reading that it's not that accurate and the experience can vary between games.
With that being said, the Genesis world doesn't have a lot of accurate emulation options to begin with and we try to be as welcoming as possible.
If you want to submit some footage/runs I'd be more than happy to get you an honest answer as to how it measures to other commonly accepted options, but unless the run is a WR / Top performance breaking experience, we'd be happy to have one more runner in the game regardless of the platform.

Happened to JaekRock. It appears that if you press up and try to go up stairs on the same frame that you take a hit, this happens. fixes itself when you get to the lower level part of the stage so pobably a loading zone. Does not appear to happen with Eric.
I was looking at this run and it seems to be pretty boring and taking the fun out of it with the ring out counts all the time. I was wondering if a No Ring Out Win category would help so you can at least beat up some dudes. lol.

The Sunken Stair Dive Glitch: This glitch was posted by @VaeVictus when transitioning into the final room of stage 2 his character just fell right through the stairs and drowned. Rumors are it may have happened to someone else but if you have any information on what causes this let us know!
A glitch that happened to me in Stage 5 once. I do play with Everdrive Save States so not sure if that played with the memory
@thiagoch Found this by accident, if you killed two Gargoyles in Stage 3 at the same time and on coat-of-arms upgrade count, you can actually get two upgrades
