lol yea it probably is
Honestly, kinda yea. I could still see the argument for timing IL's with flagpole touching, as the post-flagpole doesn't realy affect that much on the run: for quite most of the cases it takes very little to now effort getting to the bottom of the flagpole, and water in trunk is also quite niche (might be underestimating it but yea most of the times doesnt exist at all).
Thinking about it, the flagpole difference also exists in some other previous mario games that has done nothing about it. I know about NSMB2, you have to grab the MIDDLE of the flagpole to be fast, not even the bottom, but there is no rule for that in IL's because they use the IGT anyways. While that's not a thing here, other games make it feel like that post-flag isn't realy important for the general of IL's in the mario comunity.
Another point in favor is, we have actualy be finding some inconsistencies, or at least the game working strangely/differently among different endings, on the fade-out of the level; this seems to be ignored by absolutely everyone except 3 of us geeks out there, but it can be a problem from shorter/simpler levels,
The point of "it can be challenging to remember these" feels quite stupid by it's own lol: it's realy just ending the time every time at the very frame the clear condition happends, and, common, there are like 4 kinds of endings maybe, it wont be that hard. Besides, just write it in the rule and check it if you forget.
@KrazyBossYT yea it does lol
lol true, the timing used for IL's is supposedly an IGT basicaly, not being any load in betwen as it is just a level (except apparently the ending fade-out can have a few frames of inconsistency but yea)
in fact, the IGT internal to the game IS USED alredy for the few levels that have it (wiggler races and K.O. arenas)
what is the name of the rom?
NTSC runs at 60fps, PAL at 50fps, that's the main difference betwen both; idk rn a direct way to know it but you can test that if the name doesnt give any info
the doc is private, i don't have access to it currently
you have to get the rom for the NES game you want to play; search for it on google basicaly, is simple to find and download; note that for legal stuff we cannot officialy share our roms with you face to face, so don't ask for the rom or for direct sources otherelse
when getting it, make sure you get the correct version, difference betwen NTSC and PAL (generaly you want to use NTSC as the standart and most hz version)
well it cleary stated in the rules that you cannot start with a multiplier higher than x52
if anything, mods should re-check and reject Tezca's run if it is over that limit, as it would be verified incorrectly
any point apart, could you play take a better photo maybe? there is absolutely nothing to see there lmao that's so zoomed in
tho, if you think it has to do with your wifi, you can try just disconnecting it lol; you dont need wifi in your PC for speedrunning minecraft offline
yea, there is a diferentiation betwen RTA and IGT in minecraft leaderboards where time is stopped while the game is paused, you can use that as much as you need
well once again, the latest played run to be verified doesnt have to be the latest verified run
in fact i just found a 4 days ago verification right there
also @GeometryDashFan where do you see the last verified runs?
honestly yea is suprissing the number of mods notifs you can see for this game, and yet the problem doesnt change at all lol
this game straight up runs at 5/6th of the speed on PAL version over the NTSC version because of the difference of 50hz vs 60hz (unlike smb1); very easy to notice when you play both versions back to back
i thought there was a CE for PAL version lol but apparently there is not, it would make sense to have one
definitely not a pro-defenser of this moderation team myself, but wanna clarify this: 20 days ago is when was PLAYED the last run that has been verified, not when the last verification happened; idk how they decide what run to verify first but they dont necesarily go in order of submission, at all; idk about a certain way to know when the last verification realy happened, out of the recent ones I can tell Plockrosity's run was verified 14 days ago (doesnt realy help a lot by itself but it's there)
gamer not be rude on the internet challenge (impossible) (gone wrong)
@GeometryDashFan in any% top route you literaly don't have to battle any of the 3 broodals from sand to wooded, and even in beginner route no one would ever go for hariet lol, it's a middle point betwen any% and World Peace; and besides, you can just rush to the broodal without having to do the rest of the world in wooded
anyways, yea https://www.speedrun.com/posts/6w64a
they should verify it eventualy, but yea minecraft LBs are notorious for taking an extremely unreasonable long time on verifying runs lol
