my blackbird runs show up under the pappilon% categories. however my notifications tell me that there is a blackbird% that my runs went to but when i look at the leaderboard, i see no blackbird% category anywhere. what is happening?
i would like to run the xbox360 version of bare knuckle III. is it possible to add this version?
can we get NeoGeo X? i need to add it to samurai shodown
when i cant get my times put on this website, then there is a problem. period. end of discussion.
the megaman and donkey kong country moderators are using this site like solicitors. even worse is i cant even have my times verified here and i am forced to use the site that they are advertising. they locked up the leader boards here and are using them to advertise another leader board website elsewhere. i dont understand why this isnt taken seriously. all i want is my times to be verified here, thats it.
something needs to be done at the mega man anniversary collection leader board. i have 9 runs that have needed to be verified for 7 days now. 4 out of the 5 moderators have been online since then even though only 2 of them actually verify runs for the leader board. then i get a message telling me that i should check out megamanleaderboards.net. not only that, all of the mega man leaderboards here cant even be submitted to, they all just have a link to another leaderboard website. the same thing is happening on the donkey kong country leader board. there is no way to submit and they tell me to submit elsewhere. first of all, if i wanted my times on that site i would have put them there. the moderators are abusing the mega man leaderboards here by using them to advertise another leader board on the internet elsewhere and making it impossible for me to submit times here unless i submit them to another site that they suggest. i will not be forced to submit my times to another leader board. speedrun.com is the leaderboard i choose to be on. this is complete abuse. why are we letting people control leaderboards like this in order for them to have people submit times to other leaderboards other than this one? thats like if coca-cola gave someone a truck to drive around and sell coca-cola products out of but instead they use it to sell pepsi products out of instead. if they want me to submit my times to megamanleaderboards.net then they need to partner with Guinness, otherwise im submitting here. i have more interest with this leaderboard website ATM.
oops, sorry. can you put them back on the leader board for me again?
i have 9 runs that have needed to be verified for 6 days now. can someone please verify them for me please?
hi, i am the moderator for golden axe and also a runner for golden axe 3 and noticed that the leader board doesn't support submissions using alternate versions and would like to help moderate golden axe 3
i think there was a miss communication. i rejected trivia's segacd run that was on the beginner category. im trying to keep sega cd runs off of other categories because the sega cd version is too different from the genesis version. trivia's gillius sega cd run was moved from the gillius category to the sega cd category because it was a full completion of the game, regardless of what character was used.
i will have to talk to brendon, this is very confusing for me to understand.
we didnt change the rules because its literally the same thing. if you are getting a different timing, i would like to know why. and maybe we can share screenshots
we time the N64 when the screen transitions in and out of cut scene and player control
is there a way to get rid of the difficulty option for the N64? the N64 does not have a difficulty setting and i do not know how to edit the leader board in an effective way.
im so sorry apophis! pink panther may be able to verify your run. i however do not have any experience of the arcade version of this game. i can only verify genesis runs for that is my expertise here.
alright well i joined as moderation because i noticed that some of the times were not logged and also noticed that the there weren't any rules for real game time. also i made a new category for original mode which i know there isnt anyone who submitted to it yet but i felt that it is a good category. i have first place times so i would say that i am qualified enough to be moderation. i am however unable to verify any arcade runs that come up because i know nothing about the arcade version. although i have the 360 arcade version but haven't had the chance to play it yet. i also have first place points records for this game on high score.com and twingalaxies.com for the genesis version. i am hoping to one day own the actual arcade.
i dont think it would hurt to allow any character to be used but if they submit multiple times with different characters then they should be deleted but if you dont allow axe battler or gillius thunderhead, then we wont have as many runners running on that category which concerns me. a leader board should be accessible for all play styles and some like to use different characters even if they are slower. there are beginner speed runners out there and i think the more runners on a leader board, the better.
your html app i find interesting because i have been having to use my engineering calculator to get the times correctly instead. which of course is more work and a pain. i will say this, if you want to put in all the work to change the timing for start and end frames then by all means do it. but i simply do not have the time myself to do so.
it is true that i was rounding the times up or down depending on the milliseconds being above or below .5 when frame by framing. this is a very hard subject because we have to measure convenience with accuracy. i have been using avidemux for frame by framing. it is possible to get our times posted with milliseconds but it will require a lot more work. i think it would be better to only give times that are tied millisecond times that way we can have a clear 1st and 2nd place runs. i do not feel that it is necessary to time all runs by the milliseconds, only runs that are tied should be timed by the millisecond to make things less stressful. i do not know what to do about the rounding situation, that subject is very complex for me to come up with any ideas atm. as far as a starting frame: this is also hard to decide upon because it needs to be easy not only for the moderators to time but also easy for the runners to time. for instance: a runner should be able to start their timers at the same time that they push a button on the controller, but at the same time, we the moderators need a clear representation to go off of when we are frame by framing the run. the problem that i see right now is that the runners are not able to stop their timers until after they lay the final blow to death bringer. i did not know until you discovered that there was a 3 frame difference in the start frame from when the button is pressed so this could also be a potential problem if we want it to be. if we do change the start and end timing, we will have to go back and change everyones times and that will take a LOT of work. but i am open to any ideas that are laid out on the table.
