Hi my name is IndDragPack and I'm one of the organisers the 'United Kingdom Speedrunner Gathering' UKSG is a quadannual onsite marathon currently located in Glasgow, UK. We're having our fourth event in a few weeks and once again raising money for the charity Organization 'YoungMinds' Due to a recent partnership our next event will also be streamed on the ESA Channel. To grow more independent I would like to request on behalf of the UKSG team to have our own Marathon Team Page. Similar to this one https://www.speedrun.com/bsg

So far our our marathon pages were created by the BSG Team, as we started as a sister organization of them. If possible we would also ask to move the UKSG events that we created under the BSG Team umbrella to move to our own page. Meaning UKSGWinter17 - UKSGSpring18 - UKSGSummer18 and UKSGFall18 The individual marathon pages were created by BSG but completely independent organized by UKSG

The Organizing Team is https://www.speedrun.com/user/Paulister https://www.speedrun.com/user/IndDragPack https://www.speedrun.com/user/Astorec https://www.speedrun.com/user/CDRomatron

If you need more information you can find and contact us on our Discord at https://discord.gg/25qp25Q Thanks in advance

Greetings

Hey there,

I recently found this game and I'm interested in learning it. However according to the rules "There is no official English version. Runs should be done on an unmodified, Japanese version of the game." Which does make sense. I'm curious how you think about a softmodded console though. I know from some other PSP games for example Final Fantasy 1 - that you can softmod your PSP and play the ISO rather than the actual UMD. In those cases you are running on console and it should be as fast as running with UMD. So I was wondering how you think about this and if this would be an option. I'm pretty sure it would draw some more runners to the game :)

Cheers Indi HeyGuys

@Deln

1- glad you like the idea SoBayed Hope you get something to work :D

2- lemme try to be a bit clear what I meant. The timing rules for the "Synched" Runs are saying "Timed using in-game timer." If you run with an undersized party the game will actually tell you how long it took you to beat the duty https://puu.sh/ALSYL/357d9866a6.jpg However if you run synched you dont get this notification. So my question was or I rather assume this, that you have to calculate. Basically seeing when the dutytimer dissappears and subtract that time from the totaltime to get your IGT right? And for Real Time: The Timer would start once you are allowed to move out of the circle and the "DUTY COMMENCED" appears on the screen and then ends when the screen goes black and the enemy is dead basically. Just wanted to get this confirmed :p

  1. Cool good to know :)

Hi,

I came acrosss this and had some ideas and questions I wanted to throw out here. Hope thats the right place for it.

First I saw that every dungeons has its own Leaderboard. Which is good but a little bit overhelming when you look for something specific. So my idea was to merge some Leaderboards. For example: Instead of having a LB for Satasha and Satasha (Hard) - You could only make one board for Satasha but with the difficulty as subcategory. That way the runs are still seperated but are on one LB.

Second - The rules for the unsynched dungeons say that you should use IGT. For everything unsynched its easy cause you see the time it took you to complete the dungeon at the end in the chat. But you dont get this for unsynched. At least not that I know of. So in that case you either have to subtract the time or use RTA. Is that correct or is that phrase meant to be in a different way.

For the Full Party Categories - Do I just have to do the levels with a full unsynched party and submit with just myself as runner? Or do I need to name every player who participated in this and what if those people dont have a sr.com account?

Thats all for now. Thanks in advance for answering and have a good day SoBayed

If you still need me you will find a way to contact me OpieOP

Greeting

Indi

Cool thanks guys :) will watch the Vods then :) Out of curiosity would you mind sharing that excel list? Would help and be appreciated ??

Hey Guys,

I'm planning to pick up the game as one of my new speedruns. I was curious if there are any guides or notes for either the any% or 100% speedrun. Like what clock you should pick up when etc. If not thats fine. I still gonna speedrun it though :D

OH one other question. Is there a reason why most people play on PC? I have the PS2 version and intend to run that version.

Thanks in advance
