It really does seem like something that can only work in very select rooms. I will need to get onto testing how it works with other open doors and say if I found anything. I have managed to pull this trick off again though in a narrow room that had stairs going down against a rush.

Yup!, Ambush and Rush dont work off of radius, they work off of Line of Sight which covers a certain amount of ground. I'm really surprised it worked on the doors though, since I thought they would be clippable objects that doesn't provide any cover, but since they do, it could lead to lots of different ideas! Plants are def RNG, I wouldn't rely on them, unless they were my last option

Fastest time I've recorded so far for this run is 2:58 I've seen someone get it room 00, insane rng luck needed

I think I've seen a speedrun where someone crouched right next to the plant and the double doors (that were still closed) and survived a rush. I dont want to risk trying it though to see if it works

In my most recent video, around the 2 minute mark, I made an accidental discovery. Ambush was coming to get me, and as I entered into the thin narrow hallway, I realized there was no other area to escape to

I hid behind the opened door in the small corner and found out that Ambush wasn't able to kill me there.

If this works for Ambush, this could work for Rush too, and can potentially save a lot of peoples runs in a niche situation. I can post a link for anyone who wants to check (if that's even allowed in the forum board)

Ambush room 5 seems like a quick way to die. Hide would take too long I feel. Screech relies on rng and a dark room to spawn close by

Ahh Interesting, I've been trying it out on other places to see if I can get something to happen (such as the couches which do work)!!. I've also tried it out on the table where the painting room is, and you are able to get up and over it, it's just a bit janky. It could offer a time save but I feel it might be too inconsistent / not viable.

That is actually where I found a walkable area!, It was that room connected to a room that had stairs leading up to a blocked room. It was a very small area, but I regret opening the door before trying it, since I dont know if you can OOB into the next room / fall through and end up on the other side

The fact that I could have saved over 20-30 seconds alone from door ping is annoying :(

I suppose one idea would have to be that you show the volume in roblox settings all the way to 0, but yeah I'm sure it could be faked easily
