Basically what Halfa said. We wouldn't want any confusion of there being two of the same games on the leaderboards, but one for emulator and one for console. That wouldn't seem to fair to the people that bought the game, when they could post their times for on a separate board.
Can you change my name to HDlax. Recently deleted the bm from my Twitch name.
PAL Normal Mansion is the same as NTSC, so that would more than likely fall into the NTSC category. As of now, no one runs PAL OOB.
Well only one person has done that, and it's not even a category
It would make sense if someone else made it, pretending to be him, so they could put even more weight on his shoulders than before.
He got caught splicing a run, and people in the Community harshly banished him, and he wasn't allowed to submit runs anymore, but, we're forgiving him and giving him another chance. We'll still be watching his runs closely.
So, the leaderboard mods have decided to unban MonadoPurge. It seems like it's the right thing to do, and I know he's truly sorry about what he did, and it's best to just forgive and forget. He can now submit times to the board, but will be watched very closely by the other mods.
If that's the case, then why isn't MonadoPurge's times back on the boards? He apologized, and no one acknowledges that.
It was only legal through his manipulation. If he hadn't had done that, it wouldn't have been legal in the first place.
He still hasn't apologized for the shit he's done in the past, especially to Bonesaw or Skozzy. And tried to brush it off like nothing happened. As Nimbus said, "he never got punishment for it. Tell me, if you got caught cheating for years and were finally exposed on using a version you KNEW was unfairly faster what would you do? Stick around and face the music or drop off the face of the earth to avoid any consequences? Cuz from what I'm seeing Veman did exactly the later and it looks like it's working." Why do people want this guy around after everything? You have no idea what happened in the past, all he's done is manipulated people into getting things he wants.
Duckstroyer, you clearly have no idea what is going on here. Just stop.
It basically was cheating though. He manipulated all of these people to make it legal. So, he cheated, no doubt about it.
I really wouldn't even call them mistakes. He knew what he was doing the whole time.
That's what all of his supporters are going to say. Snap, you were not in the Skype group when he went on his frenzy, you didn't see how he treated the people in there, especially Skozzy. All he's done his entire Speedrunning career is manipulate people into getting things he wants. It's horrifying. And quite frankly, I'm disgusted at seeing the comment you made, defending this guy.
He's manipulated people in the past, knew USB Loader was faster for years, but kept it private from everyone else, and when Bonesaw called him out for it, he shot him down immediately. He's always been untrustworthy, manipulated anyone and everyone he knew, and he's still pretty untrustworthy to this day. While he has been forgiven by most people, including myself, this move is for the best.
I don't really see how this would work because you could verify the runs in the time you say you will, and when the time is up, you probably wouldn't verify anymore. I think you need to prove to us you'll always be an active mod. This doesn't prove anything.
BooHead, you rarely stream anymore, and it's never LM. I think yesterday was the first time you've streamed this game in a few months. And I know you're not practicing this game 24/7 offline, so verify some runs because you're about to lose your position.
That's the point of this forum, and also, it was brought up in the Discord. It took you 3 days to acknowledge this. That shows your inactivity
The point of a leaderboard mod is to verify runs, that's it. While you may still be active in the Community, verifying runs is your job, and in real life, if you don't do your job, you get fired. So what's the reason you shouldn't be removed here?
