Hey everyone, I'm sort of new to speedrunning as a whole and this game caught my interest so I thought I'd give it a go. However, I'm having troubles with the autosplitter. I followed the directions given and nothing that I could find seemed to be wrong, it just doesn't work. I have a theory that it may have something to do with the fact I'm playing on the Xbox Gamepass version of the game, can anyone confirm or deny this?

Since the game is ranked based on in-game time and I could just do manual splits, it's not too big of a deal but if there is any fix then I'd be very grateful. Happy Running!

Hi there! I've been looking into speedrunning this game as it's one of my favorite games in the series and it just simply seems like a really fun game to speedrun. As for any game, I had to find some guides to learn lingo and tech but I couldn't find a video one. Now, the written ones on here are great but I have a much harder time with reading than I do with audio/visual cues. So if there are any video guides you know of, I'd be very appreciative if you could send a link here. If not, it's fine! As I said, the written ones here are very informative, it just take me a little more time :)

Got 2 roms and FCEUX said it was bad and when it loaded and it would take me to weird levels like 0-1

Anyone have a ROM that works normally?

So there is a part of the run where you must backwards jump and land on a block and then clip through the block above and get the fireflower. (People who've done this hopefully understand what I'm talking about) Any tips on how to do this reliably? I've done it a few times but I can't tell what I do differently when I actually do it.
