You will need an XP or earlier environment most likely to run this game. Here are the current additions and this may be edited if some things are found out.

• Mode 1, Starving Girumon, omitted due to being highscore. May be timeable but you can end sections early based on accuracy and speed.

• Mode 2, Digimon All Stars, added. This mode is unbelievable difficult and requires no mistakes while typing fast.

• Mode 3, Ranking Certification Exam, Added. Type as fast as you can in, 30 sentences.

• Mode 4, Digiverse Calculator, Added. I believe its only 10 questions, you need to add and subtract.

• Mode 5, Digi Alphabet Test, Added. You need to type 10 things, from letters, words, and sentences, using the decoder in the game.

• Mode 6, Digimon Evolve by Type, Added. Type 20 words as fast as you can.

• Mode 7, Aim for Jogress! , Added It looks like your supposed to type quickly to get an evolution for Jogress

• Mode 8, Digmon Evolve by Type 2, Added. Identical to 1 but with different digimon.

• Mode 9, Destroy the Dark Tower!, Omitted because it seems like high score. Might end at a certain point.

• Added @boredofspeedruns to Mod, Helped cracked the game and is checking to see if there are extra things, clears etc, in the game.

• Edited, layout, links, standard rules, etc.

I agree, the rule was already changed before you posted this.

What speed do you have to input the code at? I did this at really quick speeds and the game wouldn't let the code enter.

So other sites say its easiest to press start on 2p controller. but are you saying you have to press start on the 2p controller?

Unlocked characters are ok, you can do qcb square after the opening cutscene right when the menu is loading in, and it will unlock Gaia. Show is another issue though, i cant figure out how to get that code to work.

I just wanted to confirm that in October of 2023 I checked and these codes are working for the game at the title screen (right before the main menu)

You will hear a different sound when you hit start after inputting the code correctly. You can re input the same code multiple time. The game gives you some fake codes on clearing which sparked me to research this.

Unlock all normal mechs Up, R1, Square, Circle, Start

Unlock all normal mechs + Yellow Caprico L1, R2, Square, X, Start

Unlock all normal mechs + Yellow Caprico + White Dugger Up, X, Square, Circle, Triangle, Start

Unlock all normal mechs + Yellow Caprico + White Dugger + Red Promeus + Pink Caprico + Black Promeus Triangle, Circle, Up, Down, Left, Right, Start

It could just be the error with the pc your using which was the issue I had. the only work around I had was to run the game on an ancient pc.

The other option is ask other members how they ran the game.

Personally played on both quite a bit but I haven't noticed too many differences. However, there could always be something that was overlooked.

Of course, its always recommended if possible to use real hardware. If you feel their is an advantage or notice a difference please note any findings. However as of now all the runs are together since the loads are the same and their is no difference with current versions of MAME running the game.

Hey everyone, I was able to gather some energy back to give the leaderboard some additions.

Please use this thread to request any changes, post strats, etc.

• Ultra / Kaiju Variable added so we can see who used which character.

• Rules added into a format, the wording wasn't changed for timing.

• Added the Easy, Normal, and Hard Difficulties since the game becomes significant harder each setting, and may impact strategy. Easy Strats barely seems to work in the Hard percent. So I am curious who will be brave enough to tackle it.

• Did not add Ultra Mode just yet, because a run hasn't been done.

I imagine Virtual Box might work, but I was not able to get the compatibility mode to work on any of the laptops.

I am not sure about Archive.org without looking at the exact link however I can give the details on the physical disk and its contents since this was something that was actually gifted to me and I have the physical version.

1. It only runs seems to windows XP or earlier, so I had to run it on a very old Japanese Prius computer. I tried on about 5 different pc's.

2. The cover of the official disk is the title image used for this leaderboard.

3. The disk name is LAKIBATO, its 192 MB

4. It contains Direct X in its own folder, dotnetfix in its own folder, an AUTORUN, icon file, a setup application file, a Setup windows installer, and a 3kb note file on how to run the game.

5. This is an extremely rare item, and a huge pain to get, I am happy to help in any other way I can over at the anime speedrun discord, for anyone interested over at https://discord.gg/k5wmNCSaVE
