Faithpath's run didn't complete the game to 100%, so why was it put in the 100% category? Also, it should be noted their time is not 2:25, it's 2:26.53 (even though the title of the video says otherwise, but according to the leaderboard timing, it shouldn't be 2:25).

nope, there is no discord server for the map pack mainly because there was no demand for one. the map pack and original are essentially the same game though, just with different levels, so this discord should suffice. if people from the map pack joined it and wanted an area to only discuss the map pack, i could make a separate channel for it. and to answer your second question, maybe, but i don't think this game is going to get enough attention to warrant that

https://discord.gg/qMfaBgG It was initially made for the original Meat Boy, but I thought I'd link it here in case anyone wanted to talk about the Map Pack there too.

at the moment, i don't think the leaderboard is big enough to require more mods

since there's really no end to the game, i don't see how it's any%, hence why there is no category for it. from what i gather, this category is essentially just beating some levels? not sure how good of a category that would be, but feel free to post your progress on the forums or something

all of the levels are unlocked from the start and there is really no ending cutscene. can you define what the any% category is? the any% category in the original meat boy is essentially to skip levels and get to the credits, so i'm just not sure what you mean. but if it is a legitimate category, i'll add it to the leaderboards. also not sure what you mean by "WIP" speedrun. if it's a segmented run, runs should be done single segment

i'm willing to moderate too, if more help is needed

also i still don't think the timing in the rules are coherent enough. although i prefer time staring on "press space to start", i think the current rules state time starts when space is pressed on the "good luck" screen? if so, mrgreen's wording is a lot clearer: "Timing starts after you press space on the "Good Luck" screen and ends when you touch the blue flame of the boss' corpse."

and a discord server would be pretty useful (y)

i don't really mind time starting on "press space to start" personally and i agree, the timing should be made clear in the rules

Might as well post this here like I did with my 100% segmented run. I added music this time, but unfortunately still couldn't add in-game sound effects. Better than nothing though.

I also discovered a very minor route change for Factory. Instead of completing 11-13, it's faster to complete 11-12 then exit and complete 14. It seems pretty obvious, but for whatever reason I just realized it. Also didn't expect for it to go sub 3:00, but I guess I underestimated the power of really fast menuing.

Anyway, hope it's fun to watch or something idk man:

For anyone interested, I made a 100% segmented run. It can definitely still be optimized, but I simply just didn't want to work on it anymore. It still utilizes some good strats, though, and I think it gives a good idea of what a good run could look like.

Unfortunately couldn't add sound to the video without the music not meshing together, so I just decided to mute it.

Nonetheless, here it is:

The physics in The Basement Collection are more like Super Meat Boy. Meat Boy slows down easier and his jump height can be controlled, unlike the web version where it's always the same height. Don't think anything else changed, though.

There technically are differences, but they're pretty minor. So yes, you can run on The Basement Collection version.
