No, tool-assisted is when you use tools such as frame advance, slowdown, etc.
What you are talking about is a segmented run. While they are uncommon for most games, some games, (such as a yu-gi-oh game for the PS1), take several hours, and people use segmented runs. You should be fine, as long as you state that it is segmented, and don't try to pass it off as a Single-Segment run by splicing them, as that is considered cheating. However, I would like to note that the segmented runs I have seen are usually just split into seperate videos, perhaps in a youtube playlist. So I recommend you do that instead.
As for emulation, that is completely up to the game's community. If it isn't already on the site, it most likely doesn't really have much of a speedrunning community, so pretty much any rules you make up are fair game.
(P.S. If the game gets accepted, you must have social media on your account. You can add youtube, twitch, or discord so that people can contact you regarding the speedgame.)
So, I mostly see speedrunners that are in their late teens or adulthood. However, I am like the youngest active speedrunner I have seen on this site. Do any of you know any others?
Don't know if it counts because its essentially just a portable genesis but the Sega Nomad doesn't seem to be a system.
Oh, now I know what's happening. My pending runs haven't been showing for Tetris haven't been showing. Now I know why
I'm assuming what you mean is that you have to click on Livesplit to start and stop the timer. If you run as administrator and enable global hot keys in settings, it should work.
Most tetris categories are easy, under 20 minutes, and very fun.
Only use that thread as a last resort. If a run has not been verified for more than a couple weeks, you should contact the mod of the game. If he does not respond within another week or two, you should use that thread.
So, I do have access to Xbox Live Gold, and this does sound like a fun idea. The only thing is, it's pretty random what games are going to appear, and not all of them are going to be fun. Perhaps some ILs would be fun, however.
(I would like to note that I don't have Quantum Conundrum, but I do have Superhot on PC and it looks like a very fun game to speedrun)
I believe Capridog removed himself, and plus, we really don't need 4+ mods imo. In the year since ive been a mod on his game, I cant remember a single run going unverified for over 2 weeks. If you REALLY want to become moderator, Penguin has their contact info on their profi
As for ReverseDmitry, despite not having contact info on his profile even though he mods a game, and not having been online in months, he's still a super mod. You're more likely to get better results with contacting Penguin.
To become moderator, you have to be chosen by one of the super mods, Penguin or ReverseDmitry. Only very experienced runners of a game will usually be the ones picked. I don't think we need any mods at the moment, though.
I apologize for not being able to verify runs for the past view weeks. Our family has been moving and I haven't been able to properly view and accept runs due to a lack of a computer. I will be verifying everybody's runs as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for understanding.
^ PandaBURRR, ask the current mods for that. Admins generally aren't supposed to add moderators just because you run it. This thread is for inactive moderators.
Hello, me and my sister submitted a google pacman 2 player 2 weeks ago at https://www.speedrun.com/googlepacman The mod has been inactive for a month, their twitter has been suspended, there's no videos on their yt, or an email to message them, and their twitch is also inactive.
I've sent them a twitch whisper, but I doubt it will do anything.
2 years later
"might take some time though"
You should probably try contacting MaterializedGaming directly, he's been inactive for a month, (and I know for a fact this is not due to the holidays), and they don't seem to check the forums anyway. Though I do like the idea of an Easy% category for this game.
My longest run is my absolutely TERRIBLE Portal Inbounds run at 1:05:06 (w/o loads).
I don't do long speedruns.
Most candies, it doesn't get sticky unless you take it out of your mouth for some reason.
