Logitech K120 keyboard, standard office keyboard, works fine but doesnt really have anything special about it. About $10-20.
Thank you for the wisdom you have bestowed upon us incredibly fortunate human beings.
Very good feature and glad to see it implemented. I hate seeing vandalized leaderboards, and this should help quite a bit with that.
I'd also recommend using the tools page of SpeedRunsLive here: http://www.speedrunslive.com/tools/ It gives links to OBS Studio and Livesplit, but also presents good alternatives.
Good luck on runs, great to see more kids/teenagers getting into speedrunning
Welcome, as for equipment you generally use Livesplit as a timer: http://livesplit.org/downloads/
To record it, perhaps the most popular software to use is OBS Studio: https://obsproject.com/ Though you need a somewhat beefy computer to record with it, and it does tend to crash.
As you are running a gba game, you can either use an emulator (emulators that are allowed vary between games). If you want to run off a system, you can use a game boy player with a gamecube and use an av to hdmi converter and plug it into a capture card like an Elgato, (though GV-USB2 is also a popular option and doesnt have HDMI input)
Your next best shot would be playing the game on an original ds and playing the game through slot 2, and record it with a DS capture board (Find out more information at http://3dscapture.com/ds/ )
You cannot change the text language of the game unless you use the Japanese WiiVC version.
To record a run, you can simply use a webcam or a phone and point it at the TV. Doesn't look very professional but gets the job done. You can also use something like a cheap AV to USB (around 10 dollars on amazon) https://www.amazon.com/Cable-NEORTX-Splitter-Composite-Adapter/dp/B0748BW3X2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=AV+to+usb&qid=1560794735&s=gateway&sr=8-3 Its not the greatest quality, but it generally gets the job done.
I would like to request moderation for Adventure Capitalist. I submitted a run 21 days ago. The mod doesn't seem to care, as they were online only 12 days ago but couldn't afford to look at my 1 minute speedrun of 100 Lemons.
I have tried reaching out to them on youtube and twitch, (I cant seem to message them on discord), yet they still haven't responded. The only other moderator has been inactive for 3 months.
Hey, you are a couple years younger than what I say the average age would be. I should know. I'm 11 and, to my knowledge, the youngest active speedrunner on the site.
You can find it on Google Play and the App Store. As for a true reset:

Since ReverseDmitry is incredibly inactive, I am now going to be mod.
I've been waiting 2 weeks for my run to be verified in https://www.speedrun.com/SMB_and_Legend_of_Mega_Koopa , a SMB rom hack.
The moderator, ReverseDmitry, has not been online in 2 months. He has no contact info available, so I don't know a way to contact him.
He also has seemed to neglect his responsibility as a moderator, as the rules just link the rom download, which is already in the resources.
No, being good at video games does not mean that you are a professional gamer. DarQ's comment was not a troll. Professional refers to profession, which means that you actually have it as an occupation. Unless you've won evo or something, I wouldn't classify you as a professional gamer, since speedrunning for almost everyone on this site is just a pasttime.
@Liv It does not seem to have any major hardware differences. The differences it does have is that its limited compared to genesis, as it doesn't have a power button and it has to rely on buttons, as well as not being compatible with some add-ons. However, i'd argue that this is no different than the Game Boy Player, which is listed as a console even though having virtually no differences to the Game Boy Advance.
I'm pretty sure this should be classified as a multi-game because you play through 2 different games.
