Yeah, there is one that covers both the original game and this one. It's just not linked here. https://discord.gg/yxKT6EP

I set LiveSplit to be in-game time. In the "Compare against" dropdown there's an IGT option. Switching it to that should allow you to use it. It will be working when a prompt appears to enter in the time for the current split, which will be the IGT time for that split.

Yeah,in this version only, you can simply brake while boosting to jump.

You beat the tracks from a completely new save file. Meaning that your access to boats is at first limited, but you'll progress into being able to drive the fastest. Only if you do that in Arcade mode however,in Circuit mode you're limited to one boat selection at the start if I remember correctly.

With now two tracks having out of bounds tricks,i've decided to split the two in the Individual Tracks section. So now they are seperate leaderboards. As much as I love OoBs,I still think that the track without it should still be played,so now they have been split. After I changed this for Venice Canals, the pre-existing runs disappeared,so I had to re-add them. This is why you might get a notification or two. Castle Von Dandy isn't done yet,but it won't take long to do so. As only two tracks have OoBs at the current time, this change will only be for Individual Tracks for the time being. For future submissions on those two tracks there will now be an extra drop-down menu for selecting if your run used the OoB or not.

I've seen this around before. I have never done it,neither have I seen it done in all of the videos i've watched. That's pretty likely to be fake. I've heard of wrong info being posted on wikis like that in the past,so that could be the case here. I have tried different combinations of the gas and brakes before, with no success.

Apologies for the late reply,I completely missed this somehow. Anyways, the boost start that I do is done by doing the inputs like so: When the 2 starts shrinking, tap the brake instead of holding it and don't touch the accelerator/brake controls until the 1 starts shrinking. At that point, hit the accelerator. To my knowledge there's another way to do it but I was unable to do that one.

The ramp part is a bit complicated to explain. The launch speeds from some,if not all ramps are mostly determined by 3 factors: speed, vertical speed, and angle on the ramp/equivalent relative to what direction you're being launched. Sometimes a 4th plays a major role, that being how close to the start you are of said ramp.

For the first part, certain ranges of speed bring different launch results. For example the ramp at the end of the first shortcut in Lost Island. When under 300 in-game speed,it doesn't increase it much. However, hitting it at somewhere over 300 gives a significantly better boost of speed.

As for the second part, falling down and hitting it too hard causes the launch to be worse. This is most noticeable at the first ramp launch that I do in Arctic Circle.

The third part is the least noticeable in most cases, but still makes a difference,if you are angled around 60-90(roughly) degrees left/right of the direction the ramp is launching you in,the resulting launch is slightly better. If you're going up a steep ramp, like the one in the first shortcut in Nile Adventure, you lose less speed.

The following rule changes are effective immediately.

Video evidence is now only required below a certain threshold, and In-game time is not required for RTA runs that are not below this threshold. The thresholds are the following: RTA runs: All tracks:34m RTA Circuit Mode Any%:12m RTA All Tracks(New Game):36m RTA All Easy Tracks:7m 30s RTA All Medium Tracks:7m 40s RTA All Hard Tracks:7m 40s RTA All Bonus Tracks:12m RTA ILs: Thunder Park:1m 40s Lost Island:1m 35s Arctic Circle:1m 45s Greek Isles:1m 35s The Far East:1m 40s Lake Powell:1m 50s Ship Graveyard:1m 45s Venice Canals:1m 35s N.Y.Disaster:1m 40s Nile Adventure:3m 20s Castle Von Dandy:1m 45s Catacomb:2m 5s Hydro Speedway:1m 45s

Easy/Medium/Hard/Bonus track segments from Circuit Mode runs are now allowed for their respective individual boards, provided they are timed correctly and no tracks are skipped.

I originally wasn't going to require In-game time, but I started to think about it when I noticed something about this particular version not too long ago. I was doing runs one day,and I noticed that,if you do not get a top 10 time on the in-game leaderboard, the game skips loading that screen entirely, saving about 3 seconds real-time,but it does not at all affect In-game time. This can be beneficial for real-time,but there's a problem with this. Unless all of the top 10 times are times you likely would not get in a run, this will screw with your real-time,and make a run appear better than it actually was. For this reason,In-game time is now the primary timing method, and is now required for all future runs. Don't worry about your run if you have one without In-game time,I will take care of that.

There aren't any critical glitches known for this game. There is an out of bounds in Venice Canals, but that's very frustrating to get,and it doesn't save enough time to be worth the risk with it currently being largely unknown how it works,so I don't consider that a critical glitch. As of right now there aren't any banned emulators.I do recommend using the latest version of ePSXe,that one appears to run the game just fine.

I am SO sorry for the really late reply.I was not notified of this and I just happen to look at the forums today to see this. I did decide to allow Circuit mode runs on the All Tracks board, but then I didn't know that skipping tracks was a thing. Now that I do,I will modify the boards to have this as a separate category. Again,I am very sorry for the late reply.
