such a cool speed game !
Let's go ! Tron : Deadly Disks (1981) is a great game on the Atari 2600 and it's even better when you're trying to lower your time for some categories you enjoy to achieve, my favorite has been the 1000 points
Thanks again everyone, and thanks for moderating the games, I see many of you I know that has verified my runs. @MaxyMemes Oh yes, I often submit to boards when there are no runs and/or no rules so I make them myself. It actually happened with Carmageddon 2 in the IL's, the 2nd game I ever submitted to. For what you are refering to Maxy, one of the runs was Glitchless and I simply completed the game before everyone. There are wall-kicks and the new mods made that wall-kicks is part of Glitches, so they removed or moved my runs to With Glitches category, but I didn't know what could be a glitch and it rarely happens that I submit to the wrong category, but I make sure to do the least of mistakes in submissions, since it takes much time to verify. 2 weeks ago, for example, I was in an argument discussion about a newly added rule to a fresh leaderboard AFTER I submitted 20 runs, which lead to 20 rejections... so I made the rule disappear by convincing the mod that the new rule "must have keyboard overlay" for a web/browser game isn't necessary
No i meant for the DM's. I also needed to DM about 2 people in the week.
Here's my friend reply recently: "The messaging fails for any profile, at least for me. You have to go to the DM page first and then 'add people to conversation'. Your profile took its time to load but does load for me."
Hey I know I have just sent a lot of runs, this is the tool I have been using for myself, anyone can use it or another one just like this to calculate quick your IL times: https://datetimecalculator.net/subtract-time-calculator
I have never encountered the keyboard overlay to be a rule, i think some games have it for only "if you think to be Top 20 on the leaderboard" when there are 1000 players, such as Super Mario Bros. The only times i myself used it is when i play on an emulator, because it is easier to cheat with emulators - and also ive used the keyboard overlay when i was getting really good Times for games that take more than 30minutes and where i can get good position on boards
i have played a very similar game, actually 3 (1 2 3) https://www.speedrun.com/parking_fury/levels
and i didnt have any problems by just playing and submitting, it's just like them
No. You cant modify drastically rules and add a totally arbitrary AND useless rule "to have keyboard overlay" for this simple game, 60hz should be a rule, not a sub category - and on top of that you cant reject all my runs after seeing them and inventing that rule for the only objective to reject my runs. I put a lot of time into doing these runs and all my times are very accurate. The original rules will remain:
Start recording before resetting/restarting. Start on first frame of movement, End frame on the Menu dropping.
If the problemee persists, im addressing this to Elo/Site admins
:3 thanks, I am playing many different games For speedruns, I just decide on the moment which one I want to speedrun - but I must own the game too, and for example it's been a bunch of roblox games I was doing in the past 3 days (be a dad ..something milk, divorce at 3 am, etc), while the whole month I was doing GRID: Legends and before that, it was some 2-d website games. I don't always record myself playing, because i also casually play other games and I prefer to watch runners experts doing them, such as Super Mario 3-D World, SM64, Farcry, SM Sunshine ... I also promised some games I'd speedrun to compete against some people I watch or appreciate (Painkiller, World of Tanks, Super Paper Mario, Mario party 4, maybe back to Pokemon Gale of Darkness, Outer Wild and Pokemon Mystery Dongeon Red Rescue), but its a very long way to be good at all of those -- but yeah there's a lot of runs and each day I am excited to play - am super motivated - I workout (train at the gym) and that helps I believe
