From my memory of owning the game, you would want the US version at least over the PAL version, at least on PS3. For PS3 there were two patches released: 1.01 and 1.02. The PAL version released slightly later and actually shipped with US version 1.01 on the disc (and is actually labelled 1.00). Later a second patch was released in the US (1.02), which was released in PAL as 1.01.

NTSC-U 1.01 = PAL 1.00 NTSC-U 1.02 = PAL 1.01

Therefor if any major skips/glitches are found on NTSC-U 1.00 which were fixed in the first patch, it wouldn't be possible on PAL. Not sure what JP shipped with.

There was a PS1 Greatest Hits release, which I'm assuming is the 1.1 ISO. I don't think there's any difference.

I vote for a ban. Seems a little unfair to the people who grinded on the standard 30 also. This isn't like the 2D vs 3D thing either because this is a modification to the game, not some kind of option built into the game.

You can easily tell the FPS when in the Toluca Prison section (that one cell with the invisible guy, the footsteps are a LOT faster).

TV brightness has nothing to do with it. Old emulator versions are rendering the game differently. Period.

10 Star should be console only due to that script which counts kills and items, giving a huge advantage over console runners who can't even pause the game to do tallying because the IGT continues to run. Unless we only allow emulators that DONT work with the script in which case runs should have the actual window showing with the emulator header etc.

Would it be possible to add PS2, Gamecube and Xbox as platforms? Technically "The Sims" released for console is The Sims 1, and considering both The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 have consoles listed despite not strictly being the same game, I think consoles should be allowed for this leaderboard also.
