How To Delete & Backup Save Files

# 1. Turn off Steam Cloud Sync

1. **Right Click on the game in your Steam Library**
2. **Select "Properties"**
3. **Uncheck "Steam Cloud"**

# **2. Locate the Save Folder**

> Steam\userdata\(NUMBER)\850060

# **3. Delete these 2 files**

> remote

> remotecache.vdf

# **4. Locate the game in the Registry Editor**

1. **Windows + R**

2. **Type: regedit**

3. **Locate the game**

> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Anima Project\The Nameless Chronicles

# **5. Delete the following data**

*Note: The numbers are connected to the Save Slot used in-game. Meaning everything numbered "1" is connected to the 1st Save Slot, and so on.*

**X = 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (depending on which slot you want to remove)**

> **coinsX**

> **currentPlaceX**

> dataStringX

> dificultyLevelX

> dlcX

> gearX

> inventoryX

> levelX

> playerAttrX

> skillsX

> sphereTableX

> switchsX

# **6. You are now done and your save files are now deleted.**

# **(Optional) 7. Import Save File**

Disclaimer: This only seem to work if you delete all 1-5 Save Slots! I haven't been able to use an imported Save File otherwise. So if you know a way to do it, please let me know!

Now that all files are deleted you can if you want, redo Step 1 but instead copy-paste a prepared Save File (like the one in the [Resources](https://www.speedrun.com/tnc/resources)).

**1. Locate the Save Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\69286569\850060**

**2. Copy-paste in these 2 files:**

> remotecache.vdf

**Movement**
The fastest movement technique is dash-cancelling. It's just dashing then cancelling the end animation with a buffered melee attack, so you can dash again quicker than normal. I personally dash, then hold LMB and just time my dashes afterwards. Though you do need to keep your Ki meter in mind, so it's not empty when you need to fight.

**Stats**
The combat/magic value in character panel represent how much extra damage you will do. For example, a value of 10 translates to 1 damage. For comparison, the most damaging sword in terms of combat attack, The Lawgiver, only does 10 more damage on normal hit than the starting sword Nekrom.

Death Touch increases the Combat/Magic stat by 10 each, which means 1 damage, when in Thanatos mode.

**Tips**
When you're low on Ki, make sure to use Thanatos until it builds back up, as your attacks don't consume Ki when in this buffed state.

**Miscellaneous**
Using Lock-On for the Red Lady fights in the Mansion helps when she teleports, as the camera will automaticaly follow her. This makes it much easier that having to look around where she is.

As with the previous game, if you have ~200 FPS or more, the mouse sensitivity might feel be too low even on the fastest settings. But this can be solved by limiting the frame rate of the game to 144 or so.
