game sound is needed in order for a run to be verified, you can record the game audio without hearing any of it though.
Sound is required, just don't listen to it. It's not that hard to figure out a set-up where you can listen to music without hearing the game audio (while also recording your gameplay with sound).
If you wish to replace your twitch highlights with reuploads, please edit your already verified run rather than deleting the verified run and making a new submission. This makes it a lot easier for us to track which submissions are reuploads and should be less work on your part as well.
