Wanna play a 2 person rando?

Hi all,

I love Super Metroid, I have since it was released. I love watching speedrums and randomizers and have learned some of the extra strats like wall jumping from watching rando races etc. I would LOVE to try a randomizer seed.

My problem is that I have fairly bad Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands so I can’t make my hands do what I want for most tricks.

Is anyone interested in doing a 2 person rando? One person plays while the other makes the decisions about where to go and what routing to take? I think it would be an interesting way to run a seed. I’d like to see if I have the SM “chops” to run rando seeds, even if I can’t do it myself.

Hi, I'm curious if there's a controller that would be easier for you to use. Perhaps keyboard, or a hit box type controller would be better.

Also you don't have to finish a rando in one session. You could try doing like 10-15 minutes at a time if your hands allow it.

I don’t know. I play solely on the SNES right now and have no knowledge of anything past it really.

I have never done a randomizer. I have limited experience with SM. Only done a run or 2. It may be a bit more casual but I'd be probably be down if you can't get anyone else

That sounds cool…. Do you have the equipment to run a randomizer? I think you need a Wii Or something to run the seed

Usually people use the VARIA Randomizer website. http://randommetroidsolver.pythonanywhere.com/ You can use the website to generate a randomized ROM.

The SMRAT2021 preset is usually a good settings for a first time playing a randomizer. Keep in mind that "casual" expects that the player knows some of the common randomizer tricks/sequence breaks.

Emulator is the easiest to play on, but you can also use a SNES Classic if you install Hakchi 2-CE. I imagine that there are ways to get ROMs into a Wii, but I'm unfamiliar with it.

Good luck.
