Full game run

I'm interested in doing a full game run eventually. Should this be done on a new save, or should it just be a run through all the courses.

I don't really like the idea of clearing game data for a run like this.

Imo, an all courses run would be more likely to be run than a true any%

I would maybe consider doing an any% run on an emulator though

Full game categories are NG+ so you don't have to clear your data every time

Thanks for updating the rules

United States

No problem. The rules are fully updated now

Unfortunately, this means your Any% No Powerups runs retroactively break rules of Hat Legality. Are you okay with them being removed from the leaderboard?

My two no power up runs will have to be deleted based on the rules. I used sticky toque in both runs

United States

I added hat legality rules: https://www.speedrun.com/ssg2/guide/otka1 Sticky Toque is banned in No Powerups

The reason is that I want the No Powerups category to have as little barrier to entry as possible

That's very reasonable. Now that everything is sorted out I can start doing some runs

Is there a way for me to delete those IL no power up runs? Or do you have to do that

United States

Sorry for the inconvenience. We should've laid out the rules beforehand. And while your other runs don't have any audio I'll keep them on the leaderboards because I believe those are single-segment runs

I wouldn't mind if you deleted them. I plan on improving them anyway. There's still tons of time to save

United States

Everything is settled. Good luck

I just did a trial clean ball run of 1-5. I finished in 1:42 with no practice. Hopefully get under 1:30 when I decide to give it a real go
