When first speedrunning this game, is it better to start off with Luigi or Mario?
I have more experience with Mario than Luigi, do you think I will pick up how he controls quick?
Update: If you are looking back on this in the future, choose Luigi. He is more fun to play as, and the tree skip is so much easier
Luigi isn't hard to learn how to use - he is slightly harder to control at first but he also jumps higher which is helpful.
If you are going to do a speedrun as luigi, you need a completed mario file that hasn't been started as luigi - make sure to not write over your only file like this when you do a run.
People also prefer Luigi because he doesn't have 5 minutes of cutscenes at the start of every attempt
