I was watching the PS5/SX Hardcore WR Shadows of Rose. At the 19 min mark of the video, there is a "death" when attempting to use the pc strat trying to get the gold mask early. The game is continued to the end. Does this mean deaths are allowed in console runs?

Whatever glitch this is ive tried to emulate it on console and it didn’t doesn’t quite seem to work or if it does it’s just extremely precise. I’m assuming that the intentional death is perhaps DA manipulation for the upcoming boss fight? Perhaps dying and lowering the DA ends up saving more time in the long run?

Extremely curious as well if anybody can shed some light on it! And if so, does anybody know if it’s possible on console? The PC times are significantly faster. Obviously some of that is attributed to the 120fps and all that good stuff

I know the grab the gold mask early without dying is possible on console. I've done it a few times on casual but not on hardcore yet. The other walk in the library through the goop is low percentage. I only got away with it twice but died more times than I can count. It's about a 2 min time save for the gold mask from what I can see. Are you willing to reset at around 16 min for the second skip or a few min on the first walk around. The 2nd jumping off the ladder works almost every time on console.

Hi everybody, this one's COMPLETELY on me! Deaths are in fact NOT allowed on console runs, idk why in the heck i thought this was a PC run for some reason (don't verify runs when tired i guess) but again, this is completely on me, my bad! Thank u so much for bringing this up so that i could edit it immediatly, the run has now been rejected with proper reasoning. Once again, i apologise!

Nothing to apologize for. I was just wondering if the rules were adjusted because I haven't been running for a few months. The new DLC and 3rd person makes me want to run again. Outside of that, it was a great console run.
