Have the categories as the main categories. Have 1 subcategory for the platforms. Then have arrange as a variable.
Is arrange really that popular for it to have its own subcategory?
So what is the difference between Original & Heavy and Arrange & Hard?
is it just the name? cause if its only the name then just change the name, will save alot of boards, subcategories and it will look better.
So we have PC: Original (Heavy/Light) Arrange (Heavy/Light)
Console: New Game (Hard/Easy)
Whats the difference between Console Hard and PC Arrange Heavy?
Look at this board and then the filter option http://www.speedrun.com/Umbrella_Corps/full_game
I'll leave the Umbrella Leaderboard as it is for a little while (nobody cares about that game anyway, let alone speedrun it).
Personaly I prefered having the game categories as main categories. 2 reasons, Magnum% and Knife Nemesis% can be hidden in misc. and you dont have to spare some letters like I see you had to do in order to keep the first subcategory in 1 row.
Another thing is that GameCube for example will be divided with the Difficulty subcategory to 2 boards which means that JP runs and US/EU runs will be seperated.
Finished migrating all the PC stuff. I think it is starting to look good. I made post on the main forum about the subcategories breaking line . Hopefully they can change it so we can keep it looking clean without having to hide the miscellaneous categories or shortening category names.
Steven pointed this out 3 months ago: http://www.speedrun.com/re3/thread/vovyc
Guess nobody bothered to replace the links then, or they "missed" the thread.
Board looks alright SeemsGood
If PSP have to have its own category then why doesn't this apply for PS2 with FDS?
So the PSP category is based on the hardware were PSX is based on physical/digital version of the game?
I agree that a PS3 has no chance in beating a PSP on PSN. But the same applies for PS2 FDS vs PS/PS3.
