rejected my run.

Dear Moderators

I submitted a run of Hunk(Console),but that run was rejected.I am depressed. My run is here.

"Rejected: 4:48 and 5:04 Vod skips"

I posted video from my streaming. There is no Cheating. That skip was caused by streaming problems. At the end of video,it displayed my clear time. Isn't that enough for certification of my time?Is that too strict about regulation?

I'm not an expert about speedrun,so if that reject have a good reason,I am apologize.

Those are dropped frames...

Hi starting at the 3:48 mark actually, your run begins to drop multiple frames. This continues through out the entire run. Little frame drops are ok but big ones that cut out video can be rejected

Yeah, I'd record locally on your ps4 then export to your pc and upload it if you drop alot of frames.

You can also directly export your ps4 VOD to youtube, Twitter, or Facebook with a press of a share button

If you're using PS4, just keep backups using the PS4 share function / DVR, also.

Just be aware the PS4 DVR is not perfect, and can experience encoding issues rarely, also.

I know I always get a lagspike when I reach the garage. I don't think it's lagspikes that causes the chops in the footage. Something is wrong with the recording software for consoles that causes chops in your footage seemingly at random. What I have been doing since getting my footage cut is: disabling all notifications, playing fully charged, and deleting all past recordings taking up space before I start recording again. That seems to have helped, but I can't even be too sure. Maybe I'll get a cut at random in the future.

@mondomantra It is possible that it could result in a rejection, but it would be based on what is present and how bad it is, literally a case by case basis on whether or not it is rejected. Usually if we come across it in a run, we will consult with the other mods before rejecting outright. Some of us, me for instance, tend to be super strict about that kind of thing, so I tend to discuss it with the other mods a lot when I come across that kind of thing so I’m not throwing rejections around for more acceptable instances of it. If it’s pretty bad though, it’ll be rejected because of missing footage. It just comes down to a case by case basis.

I will add to that, if there is a place where things commonly get bad on a particular console, that could be something we need to make a note of. In RE7, there are spots where specifically on the PS4 the game stutters every single run as long as you’re moving relatively quick as well as areas where the game craps out and pulls up a black loading screen so it can catch up. I know of one spot where I’ve been seeing a similar loading screen show up in RE2R on the PS4 so far. It’s the same engine, so it doesn’t surprise me to see it here as well tbh.

dropped frame! Now I understand why my run was rejected.

Thanks everyone for comment. and please forgive my ignorance...

Next time I will try to find solution about this.

my pc haven’t enough spec for streaming,so it cause drop frame I think.

I apologize to moderators for this time. Thanks everyone.

You can locally save HUNK runs onto your PS4 itself, due to the runs being relatively short.

Share Button > Sharing and Broadcast Settings > Video Clip Settings > Change Length to 60 minutes.

Then whenever you finish a run, hit the share button > save video clip. This will save your video locally onto the PS4 (where this is still a chance of dropped frames just due to the PS4's DVR being bad, but far less of a chance), then afterwards you can trim it (can do this on the console itself also) and upload it to Youtube.

Dropped frames in my eyes aren't that big of an issue though, unless it's record or achieves a massive time save and the video itself doesn't make it apparent why so and there's a ton of choppiness in the footage. The audio being entirely intact allows you to track most edited cuts, moreso than video ever will.
