Turbo use in runs.

So it's obvious at this point turbo is being used in certain runs. There's one particular spot where it's kind of obvious, which is the train puzzle.

Turbo, as a method of input, is pretty much banned across the entirety of the series, including the original RE0. The question here is, what is gonna happen now? Because I'm certainly not cool with what is essentially tool assistance becoming the standard in RE0.

This seems like a miscommunication between runners assuming it is okay when it definitely isn't.

For explanation, I use a tool to remap the cross button on my controller, so I can use many fingers to mash faster. I'm running also Devil May Cry, in certain PS2 runs that I seen, the runner seems use a turbo controller (during the first phase of Mundus fight), I never banned their runs because a turbo will not modify game values. It will not prevent Pessimism to take back the WR soon...

Either way, unless the controls can be remapped in the game itself then it's still basically a dirty tactic.

Can stuff like this not become the standard for this game?

What happens in DMC doesn't really matter, it's another series with entirely other rule-sets and structure. In the past the RE community has had lengthy, heated discussions on the subjects of Turbo / Dual-mapping / Using 3rd-party tools to make specific things control-wise easier (you can go look for these threads if you want, they still exist in RE3 and REmaster), and it would be nice if stuff like that wouldn't resurface yet again.

Understood, I have another run done this morning with that (not knowing this rule), next runs will be not using that. Sorry for the inconvenience, I didn't know it was so dramatic like that.

So a runner can self verify and cheat? I will be looking forward to the new time played honestly.
