Hey guys i was wondering why there are no rules in the new game category i know there where some rules there so can a mod please tell me what the rules are currently for new game

Speedrun.com Broke the rules section and the guides section recently so thats why there is no rules. I have them written down in a pastebin though so here you go.

Original audio must be audible for the whole run, however runs with limited or no audio can still be verified at the moderator's discretion

Timing -Time w/ loads starts when creating your character and ends of the fade out on Ghaul. -Time w/o loads does not include loading screens, cutscenes, and time spent in orbit.

Rules

-You may not use items that were not receiced on this character. This includes vault items, consumables in inventory and mods. Fireteam Medallions are excluded from this rule due to the community wanted them to be allowed. -Exotic Items received from Asher and Sloane may not be used but if you have collected the items and are receiving a Rare item you may use them. -Spending glimmer is allowed but you cannot drop below the amount you had before you started the run. (i.e Starting amount of 80,000 would be your minimum) -Spamming fast travel to decrease your time w/o loads is not allowed. Spamming fast travels to spawn in another instance where a public event is active is allowed but maxed at 3 fast travels. -Staying in Orbit for long periods of time is not allowed. -Consuming any economy-based items on the account prior to the run is not allowed. (Legendary Shards, etc.) -Flashpoint Loot is banned for consistency in runs.

also can you elaborate om this rule "Exotic Items received from Asher and Sloane may not be used but if you have collected the items and are receiving a Rare item you may use them."

It means you cannot use the exotics earned from Sloane and Asher during the run but if you already have those exotics you are given a rare item instead of an exotic which is allowed to be used
