Hi, I noticed that this game has an active runner and I wanted to share some things here for you and anyone else who wants to run or play this game in the future. Secondly, I have an exp glitch for you! I may have missed it when I skimmed through your run but since it isn't listed on the 'known glitches' page, I figure I might as well share it. If you use a fast weapon, you can sometimes hit an enemy during their death animation which triggers the death animation again and gives you experience as if you just killed a second enemy. If you use this, it makes grinding way faster!
Lastly, the website arcuz.de is a great resource for Arcuz, it is definitely worth checking out!
I see you found a way to save your progress! That's incredible! Using file manipulation, have you been able to hack in the Christmas Gear? I remember there was a Christmas gift you could get, it had a santa hat with really good stats along with (I believe) a second item, which I want to say was a sword but I really don't remember.
None of this is anything new to us. The old Mochi version wouldnt work now, since it does not create saves properly, i could look at it again, but i cant be bothered, since we dont need it at all at present. The Exp glitch doesnt work in the version avaible that we have, and since this is the only version accessible for new players, we have left it at that. My oldest runs actually contain that glitch, as they were made back before flash retired. And the old arcuz wiki, constains a mere fraction of our present game expertise. Ive played the game for years and with the recent developement prolly have the most complete knowledge of this game in existance, including what little useful information the old wiki has. Plus since we dont use that old mochigames version, we have no trouble saving to begin with. And we also have ways to completely edit savefiles, just havent put it into resources yet.
That's strange that the exp glitch doesn't work on that version even though they are both v1.1, but that definitely explains why isn't used all the time since it is pretty easy to find accidentally. Still, that's definitely a positive tradeoff if you're able to save the game without any issues. That's crazy that you guys have surpassed the wiki I linked by so much! I think I'll take a look this weekend to see if I can find the santa hat in the files - or at least see if its feasible with my knowledge of code and such
Why would you? Chung sells them santa hats. And since its easy to compose indefinitely, its free to get whatever you want, even without externally editing savefiles.
oh I thought those were different hats (different bonuses or something at minimum), even before flash died I hadn't played Arcuz in a while

We have a few glitches we don't understand yet - do you know anything about stacking speedups and the bug where you cannot go into adjacent fields anymore?
Manipulating savefiles is actually quite easy to do. The webapp we use for convenience sake is linked in the guide, as you probably saw. You can just buy a santa hat, and then look at the node it represents in the data. Maybe there is a number that can be incremented or something to find extra gear. If you have invalid data (because the item does not exist), the game has a fallback, so nothing breaks.
You can actually get gear for much higher levels this way (that is useless in the normal game of course), like lv46+ weapons and such. Might be possible that there is more to find.
I'd have to think some more about speedup stacking but I don't know anything about the adjacent field bug. I just joined the discord. Congrats on the WR today!

What benefits this alternative runner has? And it is difficult to install it? I would love to have more possibilities in the game because it has become too boring for me. At this point, I usually choose another game to play, but this time it might be different. I also use his free cloud storage website from time to time to make sure some most important documents and files are safe. My PC is old and not that reliable. That’s why I don’t want to take a risk and store everything here. And external service is way better for these purposes than anything else, especially because the Internet connection in my house is good.
