So what is currently the best time u can submit without a video for the categories on this game?
Probably video proof is required for times:
Under 4:00:00 for Any% Under 6:00:00 for 120 Stars Under 10:00:00 for 242 Stars (100%) Under 3:30:00 for Green Stars
From what Ive seen so far, im pretty sure that as long as ur not going for like top 30 they’ll normally accept it if u include split times
Requested times for video requirement Any%: 3:20:00 120 stars: 8:00:00 Green Stars: 4:00:00 242 stars: 10:00:00
Any% requires video proof in submissions that clock in below 3:15:00.
Community moderation team will add the other video requirements into the rules as soon as we have come to a final conclusion regarding it. However, we generally request video for 242 submissions under/around 10 hours, and under/around 6 hours for 120.
@Pottoww, my results will be slower than this. I think I'm gonna get 6:45:00 in the Any% category, 242 Stars in 17:52:00, 120 Stars in 11:35:00 and Green Stars in 6:10:35. My runs will be in multiple videos. Oh and the submissions for each run cannot be made up or it's an instant rejection of the player's run.
@Ringo6575 All Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 runs MUST have video evidence. They also must be done in 1 sitting with no timer pauses. Submitting a run without video will lead to an instant rejection of it. Your runs can be in multiple videos, but it must be clear that it was all in 1 segment and there are no part missing.
That is correct, but I will not be able to submit it, even with video proof. Reason: I cannot learn lots of skips and glitches. The only fast part about my run will be is Sky Station Galaxy. Does single-star splits need to be uploaded to splits.io?
It doesn't matter if you can't learn skips or glitches. My first run was a 6:13 I knew absolutely nothing when it came to skips and glitches. I just had the timer there because I wanted to try it. You can quite easily get a sub 4 without any flutters or skips.
@BennyTheGreat, Almost every skip is really difficult. The best part is the beginning of it. Here are my parts for each video of the Any% speedrun: Part 1: 30 Stars Part 2: 50 Stars Part 3: 65 Stars Part 4: Any% Finale My first run could be a 6:20 or a 5:35 because I can do the Sky Station Galaxy at a fast rate.
Once again, as long as you do it in 1 sitting, you can submit it. Just make sure it's recorded. It can be in multiple VIDEOS if you need
Thanks @BennyTheGreat. So, when the run ends for me, I add up the time from breaks and from LiveSplit. For example, if my breaks were 1h 30 minutes in total and I got 3:50:00 from LiveSplit, the total time would be 5h 20. As long as I do it all at once and recorded, I can submit it. Multiple videos to add extra proof is required for all of my full-game runs. These rules can be added to the full-game leaderboards. I'll start setting up my splits.
Welp. Another run deleted for no reason. A mod claimed that I did not use video "though I really did use four videos". Another moderator deleted my run for "pausing the timer" and I didn't even do that at all. I'm gonna go nuts if they continue deleting my runs even if I don't pause the timer! If they continue to do this, I will get angry. It used to be not 100% RTA but now it is, straining my eyes SO MUCH.
The leaderboard poll results are in, here's what the majority voted for:
-
The SMG2 leaderboards now have 1P/2P subcategories for all of the full-game categories.
-
"Co-Star/No Co-Star" has been renamed to 1P/2P for both galaxy leaderboards.
-
**Tied top runs will no longer be retimed for
