So I made a post before asking about "Single segment." What I meant, was single level... and yes... I know I look foolish... but I have been doing some IL runs and figured, hey, why not get a leaderboard going for it?
Some people might be confused how we would do level 2 onward and thee rule myself and another runner on the SDA forum made was that you could grab all the coins you want on level 1, save, and then start level 2 fresh, but with all coins and, if you want, all level 1 cars unlocked. However, you cannot have anything already unlocked or done in level 2. Fresh new level.
Here are my runs for all mission and 100% level 1, and 100% level 2 for those wondering. Again, please let me know! :)
I'll get this set up later if nobody objects. Those rules look completely sensible to me. Might do some runs of this, but not until after my exams.
Awesome, that would be great. Excited to see how the leaderboard will go. :D And I might have a top 3 record for a couple seconds as well! :P
Ok, I've added the ILs in (you can select each level under 'Level Leaderboards' on the left hand side). Glitched, I haven't added your runs - you're free to submit them, but it may be worth waiting until we've ironed out the rules. A couple of things came up while drafting the rules, which ought to be decided on here:
Where do we stop timing? For 100%, I matched the full game run with 'once you have reached 100% according to the level progress statistics in the game'. For All Missions, I opted for the 'Mission Complete' text. The alternative would be the 'Level Complete' screen (which shows your percentage), but this appears after cutscenes on levels 2,5 & 6.
Also, the level progress, unlike the full game tracker, does not count movies. In which case, are we assuming we don't need to watch cutscenes? So, in level 2, the timer could end at the end of Cell Outs, rather than after the cutscene.
What do you guys think?
Those rules seem to work out well. The way I did the 100% was simply stop the timer at last input [Skip Prof. Frink's dialogue in level 2 for example.] But I can re-time the run for that. And if we didn't do last input I would assume for all mission% runs, you can skip the cutscene and for 100% IL runs you would watch the cutscene, so that if you did 7 IL runs, your score at the end would be 100%. But these were rough draft rules and are very flexible. :)
Will upload the all mission to the leaderboard since it is timed by the Mission Complete at the end, but will hold off submitting the 100% runs until we know where the timer stops for certain.
Ok, I agree with last input, I guess. So, on the last gag/collectible/wasp/whatever, or on the last 'Mission Complete' (which is close enough to last input, and much easier to time). We'll go with that then.
I think NG+ should be added as well. Would really be interested in seeing how that would turn out.
After a lot of consideration on many factors over the past couple of weeks, the mod team have decided that the best course of action is to allow the custom save file to skip the Bart 1, Apu, Bart 2 and Homer 2 cutscenes. This save file is banned in No Mission Warps, with the goal to maintain the sta
