Hello! I was considering running a few of the shorter categories on switch, but to do that I would want to use switch gameplay clips to record. The Nintendo Switch clips are only recorded up to 30 seconds, so could I put multiple clips together to create a run? Due to the run I wanna do being 40 seconds long it shouldn't cut out any footage and be seamless, though I will say when it is if needed.

For non-WR runs we don't require full video (we only need the video of you making the final save at the end after the results screen), so you can do that for every category including the longer ones like New Game, etc.

The only categories where you can't do that is No Merchant (for obvious reasons) and AA since it's timed RTA, we need full videos for these even if they're not WR, so recording small clips and putting them together won't be accepted since will be considered as "splicing" (kind of, even if it's the same run).

If you get WR though, you won't be able to submit any runs using this method.

If you can't get a capture a card I'd suggest at least trying to record with your phone, we do have some full runs using this method, it's not too bad especially with today's phone quality (you even have PC apps that can record what your phone is currently recording, so you can have that as a window on OBS).
