Table Clip is nearly 100% consistent when playing in SD as opposed to HD (just holding square and circle together and no other inputs), there seems to be physics differences between the resolutions. This might be a factor in other skips in the game as a whole. Thought this might be of interest.
Yeah, just easier, might be faster in full game depending on if any skips have different physics in SD

Ey, so the verdict is here. SD vs HD DOES matter... for PAL.
SD on PAL (PAL game and PAL PS3) gives 50fps, which caps the speed from the table clip to 5/6th (83%) of the regular speed. By setting my PAL PS3 + copy to SD I was able to replicate.
The PS4 and PS5 versions of Sly 2 have been patched, removing the ability to skip cutscenes by pressing start (Universal Cutscene Skip / UCSS).
