What advantages are there to using a higher framerate over the normal 60 FPS, considering lots of top runners use higher framerate?

yeah, you get some small speed boosts off ramps (the most notable is the dirt ramp in level 2 and 5), and it also gives you a little extra jump height, meaning you can get on top of Moe's tavern by jumping on the chain fence next to it (used in 100%)

144, right of the bat you should start using it, don't believe people telling you that you should start from a lower framerate and work your way up, they're just trying to limit your potential.
