Hey wassup. I am a incredibly new speedrunner to the community but any chance one of you could tell me if the 1.27 patch gives a fps boost? I have a very bad computer so yeah it would help alot if anyone could help me with this one
I get more fps on my PC on 1.27, but it's not a huge boost.

My max on the lowest settings possible is 40 so would that on your computer for example boost it to atleast 60? Also while im at it, is modifying the game settings to like change graphical settings allowed? like going into the settings ( in game files) document and changing (shaderquality=1 and changing it to shaderquality=0) My pc is godawful so without this change i will be looking at a slide show so yeah just wondering.
Going from 40 to 60 is a 50% boost, I wouldn't count on it. Afaik you can change only settings available in-game. For example turning off shadows entirely in commandline is not allowed.
1.27 gives a significant fps boost, along with allowing for many other optimizations. It is definitely worth it. Modifying game settings in the game files, however, isn't allowed.
