Never seen a case like yours so I'm really sorry to not be able to help you out with this.

one thing you could try if you haven't already is install the game with System Memory instead of video memory.

other than that... i've got nothing. Never seen or heard of this before

I already tried installing with Video Memory, System Memory and all other video card options...

I will try to install another virtual cd driver to try to read the iso and twist to be some gBurner reading error...

i have never used g burner so i cant say that is down to the issue i would recommend magic iso or something similar. although have you run the game without the patch if you have what happened was anything different ? is the sound off completely or does it mute at a certain point ?

I uninstalled gBurner and installed Daemon Tools, same thing happens!

When I try to run directly from the iso, it "causes an error and needs to be closed".

"In my own way," the sound is muted all the time, except in the movies (opening film, hunter's arrival, after using the crank to raise the gate, etc.)

right so in a way it is muting at certain points. daemon tools is a good program i use it myself :D are you running on biohard or biosoft ?

its bizarre that it only plays fmv audio what options did you choose in the setup ?

Try use both (biosoft and biohard), same thing...

In install, selected all options...

Last night I installed the HD Remaster. I'll end up "migrating" to it, even though I find the biohazard more fun! :(

I'm having issues to launch the game aswell.. Finally managed to launch it using your method but no sound here too. Do you have twitter?

I have also a question for the moderators: can I submit a run with the game like this (no sound)? It runs fine with the patch, same speed as the other runners, but no sound..

What I did fot this issue was putting the .exe file in the path that the game was installed. I do not run from the virtual CD
