As described. No one contacted within 24h. Yes form doesn't promise that contact will be made. Does this mean - leave feedback and be gone? I guess so. Pushing enormous adds is normal for Devs, give any kind of feedback or reasoning behind changes is not. As said in previous post about Adds Removal, this is not acceptable. (In case you missed first post https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/ff8x4) In the end here is truth behind those changes and silence: Devs don't care about users, only about themselves. Devs don't want to communicate. Devs don't want to listen. Devs don't want to explain anything. Devs just bought recourse and think they can do whatever they want to do.

Even mods are not informed enough to make any kind of statement.

First they promise things and don't make it clear what actually they want to do. Next they make updates that benefits only them. Next they remove feedback section. Support? Don't have to respond, not obligated. As of course none of the users pays to add their runs to their leaderboards, another proof, that Devs don't see it neccessery to talk to the audience.

I can't even email Devs, website has only feedback form, no other meanings of contact. I need to find email my self? Pathetic. Whats going to be next? I guess nothing. I did my best to utilize web help section, was as fast as possible to respond to the update. Didn't made assumptions and was patient. As other already mentioned, shove it down my throat and be happy or leave.

Expected more, dissapointed.

I'm not a big fan of this Del guys' posts....but they're removing the feedback/suggestion forum? Like going to just an anonymous...one user submitted....easily ignorable....feedback button?

You need to have a forum so when a suggestion or complaint is made, the community can come together to develop those suggestions into legitimate possible improvements for the site, or they can come together to resolve the complaint (as most complaints come from people not understanding something about the site).

Am I missing something here? A direct feedback button is cool, as long as it's an addition. If they subtract the site forum then that is majorly antithetical to building and maintaining a strong community.

I want to point out that while they were not directly responding to the feedback thread they were reading it and taking into account the things said on it. The new feedback form is probably just an easier way for them to keep track of all the feedback from users so they can more effectively use that data.

If you honestly believe that the devs are only in this for money and don't care about the community I feel bad for you. Because the devs DO care, and they are taking steps towards better understanding the community and releasing better updates (see the rest of the update news post) but all people want to do is trash-talk the couple bad things that had to happen to introduce the good things. I'd gladly see a couple of ads on my screen and have to use a new form for feedback if it meant that more QOL updates were coming and more opportunities.

I don't know ELO's whole plan and that is why I won't speak and put words into their mouth or promise things that may never come. I've tried explaining things to you in other threads and even made my own to express how I feel about this update, but you seem to only want to hate on the site and not see any of the good.

Welp, went through both threads and talked with Delek via discord - all i can really say that he is extremely upset but does have some valid points in my opinion. Like the dedicated suggestions forum - come on, everyone likes a good suggestion and discussion about it, doing this via dedicated button in the support hub is a bit soulless in my opinion. And while Delek did respond extremely harshly - the "use adblock" solution isn't cutting for him as far as i understand, he never used adblocks of any kind and he aint gonna use them in forever ever ever and stuff. All these ads (as far as i understand) were put in the layout without any warnings from ELO, no news, no posts, no nothing. Some headsup would've been nice, at least they could've looked at the people's responce to that.

...scratch that above, just seen the news post. Alright then, the ads are big and they are annoying without any adblocking software (using ublock origin and privacy badger, so only the "empty space on the right" problem here), also the videos. In my opinion it's fine-ish, but the pop-up with them in the right bottom corner of the page is just not good.

...also i really should submit some feedback through that form. Not sure how that magic works, but if the people here are correct - it doesn't even spew out anything like "we got your feedback, aight, thx, we'll look into it" automatic message, could be useful, just saying.

@Garsh unfortunately that isn't the smartest way to go about this. We do not need to indulge the OP in his brashness, dismissiveness or impatience; but we do need some of his points to be addressed. We could ban him, and delete this thread right now, but we'd still have all of the exact same complaints in another thread by someone else within 24 hours because his complaints aren't meritless.

Just as a FYI: I've written this message twice now (it was better the first time), but when I went to click "Post", an add popped up at the exact moment, I clicked it, and the page took me away and everything I typed was lost when I clicked "back". So yeah....epic
