So concerning the Reload buffer glitch for movement, how do people unequip the gun so fast? I'm trying to save the second or so it takes to move the mouse to the gun and unequip it.

Simply don't use the mouse. Use the keyboard controls (UP arrow then ENTER) to quickly unequip. Note that clicking enter twice though will crash the game.
