I just thought it would be cool to have a speedrun where you activate the memory storage glitch as soon as possible. Since there are specific requirements for the glitch, such as the travel medallion and a memory, I think it could be a pretty fun speedrun.

At what point are you considering the glitch activated? Once the "View memory" prompt appears in the overworld?

I don’t consider the glitch technically activated until you take control of Link in the new game with autosave disabled, so that’s when I also think the speedrun is completed.

Wouldn't that be locked to just DLC tho?

It would be DLC only, which I suppose would make the category exclusive to at least somewhat dedicated BotW players.
