Well, for the people can be funny to be like a prank, but pls, think in one thing, I realy been thinking… Realy as stupid and insignificant is for you this category to put it just like an april fool, like if add this should just a prank? Realy? Okey, its a meme run, realy short... but I dont think its to as bad Pls, let us to be it in the leaderboard at least in CE, a lot of people like it and want to be in it Nice meme, but it dont have to pass from a meme to a "super stupid one just for april fools" I realy think you should add it in the CE, it doesnt make damage to anyone :)

I thought spawning in lava would have been a perfect run but people already proved me wrong, there's potential in this category while there's no potential on picking up a diamond from a chest.

@dha I think that both have potential, is too hard pick a diamond/emerald in less than a half of second.

You can get perfect runs fairly easily on many of the category extensions (get diamond, emerald etc.). I don't really care about the category that much, but maybe bring it back next year? Also, if someone is wondering the perfect time would be about 1.212 (sqrt(23.5/16)) s, since it's the time it takes to fall from 23.5 blocks. Unless you could somehow take damage while falling, but I doubt so. EDIT: It seems like there's also drag in Minecraft. Taking that into account the fastest possible time would be 27 ticks or 1.35 s (if we were somehow to reduce the falling height to <23.4 it would be 26 ticks). EDIT 2: I also posted this here, because the previous thread seems to be dead. I still think it would be great if the category was added back, but if you really don't want to (for some reason), just make is seasonal.

getting a "perfect run" in obtain diamond is EXTREMELY difficult, same with emerald. Die% would just be good seed, walk into hole, ded. There would be no competition, so it would be a terrible category. Because there would be a point where 50 people would have WR. Except unlike goldeneye where a lot of people have a tied WR, it would be super easy to get.

So, we will not add it. Not even to CE. We already can't keep up with all the runs submitted. And we don't want to have to verify runs for a useless category.

@SpeedNintendo yeah I got like 2.8 seconds in the first hour of speedrunning so I see how this category would have been useless and only serve as a easy first place finish.
