By pausing anywhere in the first level. I was experementing yesterday when UltraAug posted his run. You can't run into the spikes with the glitch, and dying or reseting ends the glitch. The ninja is a different case, as you you just now pause and still jump over the ninja. THE WR POTENTIAL IS REAL!!
I've been experementing with the glitch a bit, and have figured out that dying resets the glitch, but resetting doesn't. EDIT: Dying on certain levels. Have only confirmed 7 thus far.
i had discovered a skip with the ninja many months ago, but it was way to inconsistent to get in a run. you can jump on the ninja and use it to get over the tunnel for a time save.
The glitch is negated by going to the level select screen or refreshing. Of course, in a normal run there's no reason to do this, so as long as you pause+unpause (using escape) on the first level, you should trigger it. It should be noted that it doesn't grant you invincibility, only the ability to bounce off spike when going at a somewhat fast speed!
Hope this helps! Also, from what I know, dying does not disable the glitch, only refreshing/quitting to level select. It is simply finicky, and sometimes doesn't work if you are going at a low speed or weird angle or something.
Also, on the ninja level, you can bounce off the ninja and skip a small section.. of course this is practically impossible to time, but i have done it more than once before. From what I can tell, you cannot bounce on anything else.
Also, on level 7, it is now possible to use the first jump pad to reach the top section (where the box bridge is at), and jump over the spikes, which may be faster, (but hard to consistently replicate, however I can get it quite often.
i'll upload this in a moment to show both of these.
