Hello guys, thanks for the congratulations :) In fact my SoB on the wreckin' racing speedrun is 18:05 actually, so I might try sub 19 soon. I used to play with the pro car when I was young back on ps1, I just didn't want to change. And as it was said months ago, the manual says points are doubled for hitting and spinning the opponent in 1st place, and I didn't remember that fact until I saw the post here. So I will try to abuse that system on next run.
Edit : I just saw Slowest_runner talking about a glitch in black sail valley that nets lots of points. I got that a few times and I thought it was just abusing a glitch and stopped my runs when this happened. So if this happens again, do I keep going or should I stop ? I even got 500+ points once.
I like the messy handling of the Pro car for WW. For Stock Car, the amateur car handles sharper turns better and makes the run a bit more tolerable since Pro feels like driving on ice at times.
What emulator are you using, btw?
I use pSX emulator v1.13. I might try changing cars to see the difference. I never really use others than pro.
I think Pro is great all around, the tricky thing with it is the lack of handling makes it harder to avoid wrecks in Stock Car.
I tried a run with the rookie car and finished in 18:54...... if only the Skum didn't win the division 1 with 1165 points ! Nice car for wreckin' racing. I felt it won't go crazy spinning every time it gets hit by an opponent. So it might save time compared to the pro car.
